We chose this spot as it was close to a wedding venue and I was in the wedding party. The location of this place was convenient to get to and from all the wedding festivities. We fell in love with this cozy cottage. Bonus was we got to take our small yorkie with us so we wouldnt have to board him. We are hoping to return and stay here in again to fully enjoy a stay at this lovely little spot. Thanks to the owners for making us feel welcome.

The owners Ed & Betsy are amazing! We enjoyed talking with them & staying in their cottage on the property. The cottage was clean, well stocked (pots, pans, utensils, towels, etc), perfect in every way! Ed met us when we arrived & gave a wonderful tour of everything to ensure we were all set for a great weekend. The hot tub was so nice under the covered porch & the views were breath taking. The roads getting to the cottage were all nice paved roads so no worries about narrow gravel scary roads while driving to and from. The cottage is perfect location and only 3 miles to downtown Luray. They did a great job decorating the cottage and being amazing hosts from great places to visit, allowing us to enjoy their pets (cats, dogs, horses & chickens) & conversation. This is a 5 star place for 2 ppl looking for a great getaway. Thank you Ed & Betsy for helping make my daughter's 21st bday one to remember. If you are looking for a quiet place with great hosts close to breweries, distilleries, wineries, Luray Caverns, & all the area has to offer this is the perfect place to stay.

Perfect location near Luray. Hosts were very nice and incredibly helpful. The cottage had everything we needed, great view, and hot tub was the cherry on top!

The cottage was fantastic Betsy and Ed were wonderful host their doll cricket was fantastic with catnip the cat watching the horses in the back was also beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and hoped to be able to bring my husband back with me next time

The place is just awesome for a couple weekend hideaway. The apartment was spacious and clean and had all the amenities if you wanted to stay in and cook. I highly recommend this place you wont be disappointed.

We loved the quiet beautiful setting of this cottage. We were looking for big sky views with birds chirping, and did nothing but hang out there for two days. The hosts were lovely and the cottage was decorated beautifully without it being too much. The fresh eggs for breakfast were a treat. We’d definitely go back again!

I go to many cabins when we're in need of rest... I have to be honest this is by far the best.. It is so comfortable peace to us it brings... Life seems to beat you up with so many little things.. My husband and I were stressed going day to day... But thanks to this little rest we have found our way.. The cabin is just beautiful it gave us such a boost.. Whenever we're in need of rest, we'll head to Raven's Roost..

We had a wonderful hiking vacation with our pup. We loved the Cottage; it was perfect for the two of us and our pup. We're already planning our next trip.

Absolutely LOVED our stay at this cottage. The owners are so kind and the space was perfect for my husband and I. The hot tub (SoftTub) was perfect after a day of hiking and the property and views are stunning. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at the Cottage at Raven’s Roost for the weekend and absolutely loved it! Ed and Betsy are wonderful people and the best hosts! We so enjoyed the country side and exploring the town and surrounding area. We hope to visit again soon!

Caretakers were super friendly. Cute clean little place. Just what was needed for myself. So much in the area to do. The horses were definitely a treat for me. Will definitely be back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the well appointed cottage w awesome hot tub. Abundance of windows overlooking mountains and horse pasture. Comfy king bed, great bathroom w jet tub. Kitchen with everything and more. Owners are wonderful and kind. Would return.

We live in DMV and lucky enough to have family in town and came to Luray for a weekend to ourselves. Check in was a breeze! The hot tub was a God send to help release all the stress of the hustle and bustle of "The Mixing Bowl" traffic we deal with daily. Hosts are lovely and attentive when needed but also gave us privacy even though the main house is right next door to the place we stayed. If you book, Luray Caverns are definitely a must do! While in town Compass Tea is a great place for a cuppa and conversation. Blue Sheppard Spirits is new to the scene but makes AMAZING cocktails!

This little cottage was EXACTLY what we needed. Clean, warm, quiet and surprisingly private for being so close to the owners house. Hot tub was clean and warm on the chilly nights. Loved the bonfire after dinner. The bed was huge and so comfy. My only suggestion would be a few additional bathroom hooks for wet towels. We will definitely be back.

Small cozy cottage in the valley with wonderful views. The homeowners were very friendly and accommodated us very well. If you're looking to stay close to Luray caverns, this is the place!

My husband and I came up to VA for some mountain hiking and this place was perfect! Very close to Shenandoah, only a few mins from town, it was quiet and gorgeous with horses and a friendly cat and dogs that we loved. Didn’t get to use the hot tub this time, but it looked really nice. If we get to come back up here for another hiking trip, I’d stay here again!

My spouse and I booked the Cottage for a couple’s Thanksgiving along with our Pup! The cottage has great pasture and Mountain Views. Betsy made us feel very welcome and even played with our pup, Walker for a moment. We would definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway

So convenient to the town of Luray and the cottage was very clean and cozy. We plan to stay again.

We loved our time away at the cottage! Ed (and Raven the cat) were so helpful when we checked in and showed us around the property. The space was very clean and a perfect size for us, you’ll want to be outside enjoying the view as much as possible. It was so nice having breakfast watching the horses and going outside and getting love from the cats. Betsy gave a great hike recommendation and we loved getting to chat with her & Ed and meet the dogs on our way out! We definitely want to come back again, two nights goes too fast. A perfect getaway from the noise & lights of the city, thank you Betsy & Ed!

We had a wonderful stay if you want out of city and into the country you go there we just didn’t know it’s right behind the property owners house but they did not bother us one bit

The cottage at Raven’s Roost is a little slice the heaven! The 360 degree view surrounding the cottage is absolutely breathtaking, and the cottage itself was well stocked, beautifully decorated, and far exceeded our expectations. Watching the horses peacefully graze in the fields, as the fog rose every morning, was a wonderful start to each day. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus after a long day of hiking. Ed and Betsy were such kind and gracious hosts, always available if needed, (and such a pleasure to talk to!) but very respectful of privacy. We were sad to leave, and are looking forward to coming back again soon!
