About this house rental
Situated in Mount Holly, this lovely house for $190 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. We’d love to welcome you to our home away from home. Located steps from Sachem trail, our townhome at the Okemo Trailside has bedrooms on three floors. The entrance is on the lowest level with a den with a fireplace, a bunk room, a second bedroom, full bath, and small sauna. Up the stairs on the second floor there is an open layout kitchen with breakfast bar, dining room, and comfy living room with fireplace. Rounding out the second floor is a third bedroom and full bathroom. The “penthouse” third floor has the master suite with king size bed and en suite bathroom. Enjoy your coffee looking at the beautiful views from the glass sliders out over southern Vermont. Then plan your day- in the summer, enjoy the beautiful field stone pool and tennis court, or make your way to Okemo’s Adventure Zone for thrills on the Timber Zipper and big air bag. In the spring and fall enjoy the peaceful hiking trails nearby, or go antiquing in some of the nearby towns. And don’t miss the beautiful fall foliage! In the winter, pop on your skis at the back door on the second floor, and ski down Sachem (green) to take the lift to the summit. Ski home for lunch or a break at any time. The kitchen comes stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and cookie sheets for post ski treats, a crock pot for easy meals, and more. The dining room seats 8 with room for more at the breakfast bar and extra chairs available to pull in for big spaghetti or chili dinners. After dinner, have family or friend game night (BYO now, due to COVID!) or enjoy a movie or TV on the flat screen- kids can always take over the downstairs den for their own space! The layout of Trailside makes it a great option for single families with kids (pack and play provided), multiple families with kids, groups of friends, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or family reunions. A great place to stay all year round- we’re excited to have you! SOME CHANGES TO THE UNIT DUE TO COVID INCLUDE: - THROW PILLOWS AND THROW BLANKETS REMOVED - GAMES AND CHILDRENS TOYS REMOVED - TOILETRIES REMOVED - COOKING OILS AND LIMITED SPICES STILL AVAILABLE HOWEVER SHOULD BE WIPED DOWN AGAIN BEFORE USE - UNIT HAS RIGOROUS CLEANING STANDARDS, HOWEVER WE STILL ENCOURAGE GUESTS TO WIPE DOWN HIGH TOUCH SURFACES THROUGHOUT THEIR STAY. - VERMONT REQUIRES ADHERENCE TO THEIR OUT OF STATE TRAVEL GUIDELINES INCLUDING THE NEED TO SELF QUARANTINE AT HOME FOR 7 DAYS FOLLOWED BY A NEGATIVE COVID TEST, QUARANTNINE AT HOME FOR 14 DAYS, OR QUARANTINE IN VT FOR 14 DAYS. Really enjoyed our stay at this property and recommend it to anyone wanting an easy ski in/out location. Beds are comfortable and plentiful! Loved the 3 full bathrooms. One for each family. Host is super responsive!
Recommend that you grocery shop before hitting Ludlow though because Shaws is closed from the mud-slide in 2023.
Will book this place again next year if available.

The location of the property is great! It’s just a few steps away from the ski trails.
The owner Riley was very responsive and helpful. She responded to our inquiries quickly and had been on top of our inquiries throughout our stay.

House has lots of room to hang together and also have privacy. There’s a beautiful view of the sun rising over valley out the front. And immediately out back is Okemo’s Sachem trail. Riley is an awesome host. My family, including our 3-month old grandson, had a wonderful time! Thanks Riley!

We loved staying at this property over Presidents’ Day weekend. The location can’t be beat- literally 15 steps to the trail from the backdoor. The condo is great too- plenty of space! We had 8 people, and there were beds to spare, two tv rooms, so the kids had their own space and three bathrooms. The pictures are very accurate of the rooms and general condition.
The location is really amazing and the mountain was fantastic. Would absolutely stay here again!

Can’t beat the location, walk right up to trail from back door. Teenagers loved the ski room right inside the door to keep everything. Parents loved having two living rooms!
The kitchen layout is great to cook and still be part of the group. We’ll stocked kitchen! Liked the crockpot and serving dishes. Provided all the essentials as well- detergents, trash bags, dish clothes, etc.
We didn’t have neighbors when we first got there but, some showed up our last night. Not sure if it was thin walls or loud people or a little of both but, we could hear them very well. The white noise machine was a nice touch and helped with the noise!

We have nothing bad to say at all. Riley was amazing - very pleasant and very communicative. The check in procedure was super easy. The condo was fabulous and the location couldn't be beat - it was literally about a 10 second walk to the trail. The three floors of the condo were great as there was plenty of space to separate and be alone, but the main living room and fire place easily accommodated us all. If I were to offer one complaint it would be that the pictures didn't do the place justice - it is much roomier in real life as noted in many of the reviews. The town of Ludlow was very cute and had a ton of food and drink option - a lot packed into a space space.
Can't recommend it enough - we will be coming back Riley - thank you!!

Big wedding weekend in Ludlow with friends! 7 of us stayed at FirstTracks! Plenty of sleep space and bathrooms…along with common gathering spaces. Riley, the owner, is always quick to respond and answer questions. Easy access to Ludlow…and hiking on Okemo as well as other hikes in area.
Recommended for friends or family get together!

The condo building is literally 15 yards from the edge of the Sachem trail, and with the benefit of some natural snow as well, we literally skied directly to our unit's back porch. Friendly and helpful communication and information from our host Riley. The unit is spacious and accommodated with everything a family would need on a ski trip. Amazing ski house!!
Riley was top notch all around in communication and delivery! All was as stated and more! Our family particularly loved the ski in and few steps out to the ski run. Looking forward to staying there again soon!

Although conditions were not the greatest our cozy, well equipped condo was waiting for us with open arms! Riley was the perfect host always at the ready when needed. Perfect for families. Great space allocation for adults and youngsters to have their own fun and quiet time. Close to trail but unfortunately Sachem was not open for us:( so a quick drive to the base was appreciated. Kitchen was very well stocked with all that is needed for any and all meal prep! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We joined up with my husband's 2 siblings and their families for a weekend of skiing and birthday celebrations. There was plenty of room. Loved having 2 living rooms as the kids could get together while the adult could still have their own space (and sanity). All the beds were made when we checked in, which was a nice plus.

We had a great time skiing especially my relatives from Florida. The condo was very close to the slope and made it easy or everyone-ski in and ski out.. The non-skiers enjoyed driving around the Vermont country side. The kitchen was well equipped and the dinning table large enough to accommodate all of us . The hosts were very accommodating
