HOTEL MENABE - Private Terrace Rooms & Restaurant

Great location to get quickly to the main attractions in Morondava (Avenue of the Baobabs and Kirindy Forest), and right in the middle of town and close to the beach. Pick up from and to the airport worked seamlessly. Room very basic but fairly big, and the beds comfortable. All staff very kind, and Lucia helped organise all our tours and excursions perfectly. Overall excellent value for money, even when considering one have to pay €5 extra per night for a/c (but well worth it).

The hotel owner is wonderful; she helps arrange taxis and provides travel tips. The rates are very fair, and the driver is also very pleasant. The hotel has an excellent location in the city center, just 300 meters from the only bank in town. Dining services are available on-site. The rooms are spacious and clean; while the amenities aren't luxurious, the rooms are comfortable and offer great value for money.

The price. The baobab welcome drink. Staff was very friendly.

The WiFi was not stable. The hotel and restaurant are halal! You are not allowed even to bring a bottle of beer in the room :-). They also put Indian incenses on the corridors. Also, you have to pay extra for the air conditioning and usage of credit card.

There was a bed for rest. There was a hot shower. There was wifi. The price was very cheap.

I don't understand where all the good reviews came from. The room was unclean especially the toilet and wash basin not cleaned properly. The bathroom smelled moldy. There was exposed electric wire on the wall. The room was very hot despite a noisy fan working hard. The room was only tolerable for a short overnight stay.
