Llety Arall

Excellent location. Decent value for money.

Nothing really.

My mother and my trip to Wales - and staying at Llety Arall - was one of those magical experiences that you might be lucky to experience once in a lifetime! My mother was raised in Delta, PA, which is considered one of the most uniquely Welsh settlements in the US. The area has some of the best slate quarries in the world, and the Welsh settled there in 1845 due to their unique expertise. We came to Wales to explore our ancestry, to the town that her cherished Welsh Nein (my great nein) spoke of so often in her childhood. By chance, we chose Llety Arall for the perfect location and great price. A volunteers, Bethan greeted us warmly, shared that the losing is a non profit for Welsh Culture. She shared her own background, and impressive experience as a tour guide, and generously offered to support us however possible to learn more about our heritage. With her help, we located both the house where my great-Nein lived and the Methodist church that generations of our ancestors attended. Through another magical coincidence, it turned out that the current pastor of the Church, Pastor Jen, was a member of the Llety Arall board! Bethan made the introduction, and Pastor Jen welcomed us with open arms. She brought us to a church service, where she graciously introduced us to the congregation and moved between English and Welsh so that we could understand her beautiful sermon. In the hospitality with which we were now becoming accustomed, Pastor Jen went above and beyond, giving us lots of travel advice, sharing her time with us, and even bringing us to the otherworldly Llanberis slate quarry. (And boy was I happy to get a break from driving on the “wrong” side of the road!) I can not emphasize enough the impact of this generosity and kindness of the people we met through Llety Arall - Bethan, Pastor Jen - on my mother and me. Caernarfan and Wales was the trip of a lifetime and is now forever in our hearts - And we owe it all to Llety Arall!

No complaints!

The location was amazing as I and my partner was out for Halloween night out with friends. The room overlooked a lovely street with local welsh products

The room had 2 single beds pushed together rather than a dubble bed other than that there's nothing not to like

Location was great, right in the heart of Caernarfon

Room size was poor, food as a family room but far to small for a family room, Constance to unpack clothes, poor hanging facilities, the only hanging space was directly over the tea and coffee facilities. No headboard, bathroom had damp patches, towels weren’t big enough, needed bath sheets not bath towels.
