Superb location within the walls of a UNESCO world heritage site. Cafes and pubs galore. A stones throw from some stunning views. Uniquely suited for social travellers with the shared dining space, but equally comfortable for a recluse like me. Obviously the hotel has limited control over the personalities staying there, but personally as a solo female traveller I found the other guests to be polite and friendly, with equal care taken of the shared kitchen by everyone. A perfectly functional stay for money conscious travellers as the shared kitchen and spacious fridge keeps food costs down, and the location allows for easy use of public transport to local landmarks e.g Bangor, Llanberis for Snowdon, and even a bus connection to Caernarfon airport and aviation museum. Loads of options even if you don't have a car! While my room had no view, Caernarfon castle is practically on your doorstep and only 30 seconds further is the coastline so I didn't find this to be an issue. Some minor noise from the activity hall next door and on the street, but I found everything to be appropriately quiet from a reasonable hour, you probably wouldn't be able to hear anything if you're in one of the rooms upstairs. TLDR; If you want a convenient homebase where you can cook and fall asleep, this is the spot! Not much in the way of bells and whistles, but plenty of crockery and fridge space if thats your style.

Bathroom suffered from some quirks. Wet room style bathroom stayed wet for long periods after showering but could easily be solved with a rubber broom or squeegee. Toilet flushes a bit funny but can be wrangled into behaving, in the short term a heads up by the host or a sign could prevent any plumbing panic. All in all, small details I can overlook for the price as ultimately all the facilities are functional.

Great location, a lot of shops and places to eat near by. Stayed here for the half marathon and location was perfect. Host met us promptly and was very accomodating. Would definatkey stay here again. Cheap long stay parking only a 5 min walk away.

Loud at night due to a nearby bar but we were warned and an ample amount of ear bids are provided if needed. For us though was not an issue. If i was being picky id say it would be nice to have a TV in the room with having our Daughter staying with is too.

Very basic, was informed the room had a king sized bed but it was two single beds put together, shower/toilet room door handle hanging off, the seagulls start at about 5am and it sounds like they are on the window ledge, complementary coffee was filter and not instant but no way to filter jug.
