Fab location with a great view over Whitby. Easy to walk into Whitby. Found the double bed a bit too soft to sleep on. Otherwise a nicely decorated and homely place to stay. We'd stay again. We found no problem with the stairs but someone with mobility issues might want to know it's on the 3rd floor.

The location was good. The flat was clean and well equipped, and WiFi was good.
Very poor communication from Sykes, ignored my messages about parking instructions. Parking very difficult to find as no clear instructions given, and the 6H painted floor number almost worn away. No information given that there is a lift, but you have to get your key from the key safe, then go in the other door to the right, which the key opens, and you will find the lift. We found it on the last day, far too late to help us move all our stuff up six flights of stairs.
We had no hot water, but I contacted the owner direct and she did get an electrician in the next day. No other communication from her at all though.
The shower mat needs replacing, it is covered in mould, and the toilet flush button is broken. The bed is uncomfortable as it is a king size mattress on a double bed base, so there is a constant danger of falling off. None of the windows opened apart from the back bedroom, so on hot days it is stifling in there, unbearable. The dvd player needs replacing as it makes a bad noise and you have to turn the volume up to almost max to hear anything. The plugs underneath the router look dangerous and needs looking at. Not the flat’s fault but youths gather every night in the car park at the station nearby and use it as a race track and were very loud, well into the night, which disturbed our sleep.
The hob has had all the markings/settings robbed off so it is impossible to work out which way to turn the knobs. The limited info booklet was no help whatsoever.
Well equipped by could do with a measuring jug in the kitchen.

The wood floors gave it a cold feel, probably fine in summer but February time a little cold

No number on key safe. Had to clean sink,bread bin and all the front of fridge and down the side. The window sill was all sticky so had to clean that. There was urine stains on back of toilet and the toilet seat moved when you sat on it. Lots of dust under single beds.
