Disappointing and mildly scary.

Price. but with the Uber cost to get to the property, price was not such a bargain

Property described as being .6 miles from JFK Airport. Instead it was a$40 (plus tip) Uber ride that took 25 minutes. The manager had not written me with address by day of stay so I wrote her to get it and confirm booking. She wrote back with address and gave me the code to enter. That was good because we arrived to a pitch black house with no response to our knock. Our Uber driver kindly waited because this looked really sketchy in the dark. We were able to enter with the code and followed directions to room. We finished unpacking and heard a knock at the door. A woman entered and told us that there was a mistake and room was double booked. After traveling from Tokyo & having spent $50 on a now-departed Uber, I showed her the Booking.com confirmation and told her we needed sleep. She left and we went to bed. My husband and I shared one towel no washcloth the next morning. The shades in the bedroom were patched together with duct tape. Even during the morning light, the area felt unsafe.

Very good

The room was comfortable and cool.

Linens were overly used but clean. The house was not welcoming, and the front lock was broken. Not tidy outside.

There was no one when I reached at the place I had to be helped with next doors to get hold of the lady and she said she was far.

Rather stay at a hotel.

I assume it is a hotel, and I did not bring tower and other necessary items. Please make sure to list it as Air BnB.

stayed for an early flight. the host was very polite and welcoming. it was perfect and affordable for a one night stay.

close to airport, clean, safe, plenty of parking, private

there is no balcony access for guests, far from Manhattan.

Host number we not working, could not have access to my rental, I need full refunds

Nothing I want full refund because I sleep in my car. Since the phone number provided on the reservation was not functional. No proper other alternative were given.

Host nice, room nice, clutter outside, noise from neighbours

Room was very nice, enough pillows, warm & cozy ☆ Overdoor hook for hanging ☆ Wastebasket in room ☆ Bedside sockets ☆

there is no instruction about how to find your room so you my end up trying to open someone else’s room and they will scream .

Passable

I did like the price, which was very affordable.

I didn't like the distance, it was a long commute to Manhatten, to all the landmarks of New York City almost 3 hours going back and forth. I was very disappointed that they don't have a hairdryer, especially in winter, it was really uncomfortable.

it was terrible

the room was ok

the key wasn’t left where they said, hard to find I guess the owner just watched us walk around the building and didn’t say anything until we rang the doorbell there were no towels ran out of toilet tissue and left messages and never heard back no communication.

It is a room for rent inside of the residence home. Interior was neat and pretty. Shared bathroom.

The house was very beautiful and clean on the inside.

The host had the room double booked. This was not her fault just a flaw from booking websites but she did not know how to handle the situation and did not handle it well.

Feels like home.

I love how calm the area is, yeah there is a school right front but it’s not as bad as it sounds, rooms are clean and nicely made, rooms come with Wi-Fi and a TV, & best part of all the Bathroom, it’s so clean with an amazing shower!

For once there a booking I found nothing wrong with.

just fine for a stay on our return to ‘Murica

We didn’t have data on our phone after returning from Europe for nearly 3 months where both of our phones were stolen, (different incidents). so our Vodafone data ran out a day or two before we return to America so I’m glad we were able to just ring the doorbell and not need detailed instructions to enter. it was a nice room in a good sized home.

wish the bed would’ve been a bit bigger and/or two twin or two double beds instead.

description is very misleading! this was not what I was expecting

owner and dog were friendly. flat screen tv

shared bathroom, hand soap was empty, bathroom sink backed up when using it. this is a bare bones room so in New York you get what you pay for. You get 1 small bedroom ONLY. air conditioning unit is in the window. tiny shared bathroom. we ended up leaving after an hour and booking a hotel.
