Tea and coffee room available with biscuits at all times. Nice to be able to make a drink.
Very spacious bathroom and great garden. Secure shed available for bike storage. Quiet location but a bit out of the way - further from the main centre of Taupo. There is the yaucht club at the end of the road which did great pizza but took a long time (over an hour to arrive) and was very busy (possibly had a function on). Other way there is a small shop and takeaway and within 15 mins walk there is a Woolworths.
Breakfast was quite basic - cereal and toast and a little fruit but bananas were black. Not available until 8:30am when I stayed which was quite late - I would have preferred to be able to leave before 8 for my travels but had to delay and change slightly to be able to have breakfast. Breakfast is served in the family house off the kitchen counter and with one large dining table for everyone, which seemed a bit strange and with the owner just sat in the lounge. She was very chatty and lovely but I felt a bit uncomfortable/was in their space. For the price I would have expected more from breakfast and maybe hot items. It seemed breakfast was at 8:30 and that's it, rather than being available for a duration and you could go when you wanted.
Rooms are attached to house so you do hear some noise from there and there are only 3 I believe. Wasn't quite what I was expecting but maybe I hadn't read all the info properly.
