The chef proprietor, Martin, was superb. We had our own private wine tasting in the Roman cellar, with beautifully cooked and well-chosen tapas to accompany each wine. Dinner on our own private terrace, watching the sunset, was a perfect end to the day. The whole experience was like being (very well looked after) guests in a private house.

No breakfast was provided. The premises are located in a suburb of Salamanca about ten kilometers from the city centre. The host was amiable and helpful but spoke no English and his procedures for providing food and drink were confusing and ultimately futile
The bedroom was rather sparsely furnished and the bathroom was not en suite, being located in the corridor, which was curtained off from the hosts office. This gave a certain lack of privacy to the sleeping arrangements.
