Cozy feel, no loud traffic, feels like your grandma’s house.
A slightly longer drive to the slopes, so rent a car if you can.

The hosts are extremely friendly and accomodating. Even gave us a free lift to the nearest resort at tsukaige. They also helped us book an uber to the train station.
