Unfortunately we made a mistake when booking the accommodation on very short notice. We told the owner immediately who assured us it wouldn’t be a problem and she did not intend to claim the room rate as full cancellation fee. A few hours later though we received her message telling us she changed her mind and we had to pay the full rate. We had a phone conversation with her but did not show any courtesy or leniency in re to the previously promised despite us offering to pay 50% of the fee. We are fully aware, the owner legally had every right to ask the full cancellation fee, however her unreliable behaviour is very disappointing for us.
