This is an incredible stay! Walk into a beautiful oasis garden and architecturally amazing wooden buildings, all designed, built and maintained by the property owners who are incredibly accommodating, helpful and have such interesting lives and stories to tell! They make you feel like family. The other staff are helpful and kind too and will go out of their way to make sure you are okay. There was an element of rustic charm, expected of any place in this city, think wooden tree house vibes, outdoor bathrooms, cold showers, cool natural pool (with fish swimming around), integrating natural elements, on a bumpy sandy road. Such great value for money. It went beyond our expectations and we loved it so much we wanted to stay for longer.
- Expect a quality breakfast every morning your choice, western style (yogurt, muesli, bread) or indo style (rice or noodles) with eggs and delicious fresh fruit. Cold or hot drinking water, coffee, hot chocolate always available.
- A short taxi ride away from town (we used grab).
- Hosts were so easy when we wanted to book for longer and change our original booking. They also helped to book a fun kayak river tour with knowledgeable local guides. Also arranged massages to come to the accommodation.
- Easy communication via Whatsapp
- The standard double rooms are spacious, have large beds, mosquito nets and ceiling fans. They felt cool even without air con.
- It was SO hot when we visited, the cold showers and pool were perfect.
- The hammock is the BEST place to relax and read a book.
The mattresses are on the thin side. This is the only thing we would change!

We stayed in the treehouse which is a very unique accommodation. Thomas and Beatrice were lovely hosts and we really enjoyed our stay here.
We highly recommend renting a scooter and driving to orangutan island! Thomas also arranged a junge tour for us for one day and that was also a very special experience 😊. Thank you Thomas & Beatrice 🙏🏼!

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, beautiful, well taken care of garden and accomodation lay-out. Good and fresh food (some ingredients are from their garden). A very pleasant stay and amazing forest trekking tours. Definitely would recommend and hopefully will visit again sometime.

Beatrice und Thomas kümmern sich vorbildlich um ihre Gäste ohne aufdringlich zu wirken.
Sie habe sich super auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse ihrer Gäste eingestellt.
Über Indonesien und Kalimantan im Speziellen habe wir mehr Informationen erhalten, als mancher Reiseführer es hergibt.
Immer mit einem Augenzwinkern und eine große Portion Humor.
Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
