A comfortable, modern place with friendly staff. We appreciated the teabags provided in the room, and the water dispensers on every floor. Quiet at night, too -- we slept well. The hotel is an easy-enough walk, involving steps and/or slopes, from the train station and the bus terminal.
We had two rooms -- the one looking out the front had the better view, into trees across the parking area; the quadruple room at the back had no view to speak of. It wasn't a big deal for us, but fyi!

Better than I expected for sure. As a simple guest house in the mountains, it has thought of everything we needed - dehumidifier, smart toilet seat and even shoe dryers. I booked last min and only a small room left but it is nice, clean, well ventilated. Hotel staff are super nice and friendly. They also provide pick up service from and to the bus station.

The hotel is in the hotel area at the entrance of the alishan forest so location is top notch. It was clean and facilities look good.
Because there are just few hotels so close to the alishan entrance gate, I understand they all get high reviews. However, I don’t think this one deserves it fully. Staff is not friendly, doesn’t speak much English and not supportive enough. We were unlucky because our credit card was eaten by the ATM close by and we suggested to transfer money (+fees) to the hotel and get their cash as exchange but they were super bothered by our request for help AND did not support us at all. We found more help outside and in shops nearby than in the hotel itself. Not a great service compared to what I typically experience during my trips.
