Everything brand new, modern, slick, very very clean, shiny. AC in room works well. They spent a bundle on this place. Nice enough, although unprofessional staff. Not too far from the beach. This place would probably be good for a wedding party, have a big BBQ outside in the back, everyone in the same place, etc. The place has potential.
The building is literally almost right on the road. If the windows are closed, you don't hear the traffic. Sleek and modern, but utterly charmless. Hot as heck in the lobby. NO LIFT. Not a problem unless you have bags, or can't easily walk up 3 flights...Lighting in room very weird. Had to search for the guy, even opened the kitchen doors looking for him... "Hello?" Then waited for the guy 25 minutes while he smoked and talked on phone to a client. I get it, but he never once looked at me, or said, "I'll be right with you", etc. Basically ignored me. Had to change rooms. Was accommodating, but I got a much smaller room. Had to again search for someone in the morning for coffee. The woman finally casually emerged from the back, looking at her phone. I had to ask if she worked there. Couldn't make cappuccino because the milk steamer was broken. To her credit, she hand whipped up some milk...(the place looks like a new-money, boonga-boonga palace, and you can't make somebody a cappuccino?) Dried-out prosciutto. Pillows hard as rocks, hard bed. They spent gobs of money making the place swanky, but it's the little things that make it or break it. I won't go back.
