We enjoyed our stay greatly! Stegna is a lovely seaside village in a beautiful steep valley just off Rhodes' main road but far enough to be much quieter, more authentic and less touristic than most places in Rhodes. The apartment is in the upper part of the village but just a few minutes from the seaside front with its beach and tabernas. The studio is sleek new, decorated soberly but with excellent taste, immaculately clean and very well equipped, with attention to small details such as some essential groceries to start your vacation, a complimentary bottle of wine, earplugs (although there's no noise at all in the surroundings) and toothbrush in the bathroom. The studio consists of a single large room with well defined dining, sitting and sleeping areas that open onto a large terrace with sunbeds, table and chairs from where you can watch the sea day and night as well as the moon and starry sky while bathing in the jacuzzi, a real plus in the apartment.
A special mention goes to Maria, a very sweet, kind and caring host, who welcomes you giving all necessary information about the accommodation and places to enjoy in the surroundings and is very reactive whenever you get in touch. She really cares about her guests having a wonderful time on the island and at home.
I do recommend Stegna and Maria's apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy Rhodes' real local life far from anonymous tourist traps and chaotic towns all built up and overridden with people.
Maybe a microwave would be useful, but we could do without.
It didn't really bother us but there's some construction of roads and houses around: we heard no noise though but clearly the place is develioping. Let's hope it won't change too much!
