Very peaceful location, yes, next to the road, but didn’t bother us in the slightest. Lovely to look out of the window at the millpond. Comfortable, had everything we wanted.
Shower could be improved, electric shower underpowered, mixer tap shower difficult to control temperature. Only a minor grumble.

It is a very charming cottage in a beautiful location. We had everything we needed and were cosy. The beds were comfy and the property clean.

We arrived on the appreciate Cromford weekend and had a great time joining in with the local events. The only small issue is the noise of the traffic as Cromford is at the confluence of some busy roads. Lovely place with great locals, ideally placed for a few of the local watering holes.

A pretty stone cottage in an interesting location, overlooking a pond with ducks and geese. Had everything we needed, a few basic supplies and some nice little touches. Lots of games and DVD's. The property was very well looked after. A nice little village with a local grocers and a fish & chip shop, plus two nice pubs. Just a short walk to Cromford Mills and an exceptional bookshop with a little cafe - don't miss it!
Unfortunately there was a lot of noise and dust from heavy vehicles coming from the nearby quarries. The duvets seemed too small for the beds. Bathroom blind was broken and stuck in the open position, there is a big window over the bath so couldn't shower on our first night! Managed to find the stick the next day but could only leave it fixed in a closed position for the rest of our stay.
