Many places to visit around and nearest the City
A little hot and ventilation in the room, perhaps because of the weather.

that it had several options for rooms
the first room they gave us was in a building that was halfway done, the room was not that great and the beds weren’t even the ones we asked for, and i wasn’t aware there was ac room options. the front desk girl had a bad attitude and seemed like she was annoyed she had to help us, and then we “upgraded” the room to have ac and then the room had 5 super small beds..but it was better small beds than no ac.

The proximity to the town center is great and being able to go out and come back in at any time, even late at night - after hours - was a great benefit.

It was clean
The staff was terrible and facilities were stuffy and very noisy. We booked for 2 nights. Several locals came during the night and early morning, making a lot of noise. The next morning we indicated this to the staff and said we are leaving. They hardly reacted and just said we could not get any money back. Our recommendation: take another ho(s)tel, lots of better choices in town.

Casa Vieja is located on a side road, which makes it quiet and perfect to rest, but it is also in a central area of the city, just a few blocks away from restaurants, bars, banks and only a block away from the supermarket. It has been my best choice in Matagalpa. I am sure I will book a room with them next time I am in Matagalpa for business or leisure.
The owner Mr Joaquim and staff members Telma and Debora were outstanding and super nice.
The mattress of my bed seemed to be uneven on one side, probably just needing to be replaced. Other than that the room and bathroom were basic but excellent for the price and I really appreciated having hot water and the overall cleanliness.

Good price, good location
Rooms didn't have windows opening outside but opening in the lobby. So no outside matagalpa breeze and no privacy from the lobby.

well located , nice staff and owners , clean spaces (walking distance from all nice restaurants, cafes and supermarkets), fair fare.
the only issue is that even you book through booking without a required credit card , later on they contact you via the app and ask you to wire them half the money to reserve the rooms. it seems they don’t trust the booking platform reservations.

Good option for a few nights on a budget. The hotel is in the center, has a free parking and is clean and all in all very OK!
The receptionist during the day was not really welcoming or friendly, we felt like we are disturbing him. The lady in the night however was very friendly!

the hotel staff went above and beyond answering questions and giving recommendations. the place is super clean and exactly what it advertises. highly recommend!

The bed was SUPER Comfy!! The shower was great! Even provided towels!

The location is okay and the central a/c.
The lighting is horrible super dark another thing the restroom it smells bad from the sink all the poop smell comes up.
The toilet is so close to the wall it has no space.
The towels need to be dried in a dryer they are hard as hell.
And the floors need to be mopped the floors were dusty and our feet were black meaning they were not sweeping or mopping.
