Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our sheets and towels were changed everyday. Breakfast was good and the service was fantastic. Our dinner at the restaurant was also fantastic
with great flavors and variety of items. Thank you Lucia and Andreas for the great service and our wonderful stay at Al Guimani.
The only thing was a bit difficult for me was walking up the steep walkway to get to our room as I have bad knees and hip. The toilet seat was broken but all we had to do was tell Andreas and it was changed the same day.

The property owner, Andrea, was so considerate, helpful, and instrumental that I extended my stay at Al Giumani because of how I was treated and made to feel at home. Reasons to stay here 1. Andrea is FLEXIBLE IN ARRIVAL TIME as long as you contact in advance 2. There’s a dedicated restaurant - I didn’t know this and was pleasantly surprised to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at my fingertips 3. For dinner try ‘Stocco Tradizionale Mammola’…the owner must be modest bc it’s not written on the menu that ALL INGREDIENTS ARE LOCAL/ORGANIC. I only know bc I was so impressed with the flavor of the olives and potatoes, only then he revealed they’re grown on his property while the red onions are Tropea red onions.
4. Customer service of the owner and wait staff is TOP, I was made to feel spoilt :) 5. Room was spotless - in other B&Bs if I walked barefoot 🦶 the bottoms of my feet would be black. At Al Giumani, there was no dust or dirt. They run a tight ship. The staff even made my bed and provided clean towels and fresh bar of soap each day-I was not expecting that because other B&Bs don’t do this. 6. If you don’t have a car and don’t want to walk to MUSABA, the owner can provide return transportation at a fair price 7. I came to Mammola with a crisis trying to get € out of the ATM w/ exorbitant fees, and Andrea sat down with me 3 seperate times to help me download, sign up, and explain the free international banking app Revolut. Without his unwavering knowledge, help, and support I honestly was about ready to leave Italy instead of following through with my student visa that starts next Monday. Now, I have a way to pay first month rent without being charged up the butt for ATM fees. GRAZIE MILLE AL GIUMANI 🙏 Ci vediamo presto.
SEE ATTACHED PHOTO: At NO fault of Al Giumani, HOOGLE Maps gave an incorrect, roundabout walking route! I’ve included a screenshot with the CORRECT shortcut/walking route that Al Giumani provided that’ll cut the walk/time in half.
