We absolutely loved staying here! Bale turned out to be one of the best discoveries of this vacation. It’s a small, peaceful town full of beautiful old stone houses and narrow streets, with a very special atmosphere. Quiet, authentic and full of charm. We really enjoyed walking around in the evening and coming back through the old streets after a day by the sea. The location is also great if you come for the sea. There are plenty of different beaches just 10-15 minutes away by car, so you can explore a new beach during the day and then come back to the quiet atmosphere of Bale in the evening. For us, this was a perfect combination. And the house fits Bale perfectly. It’s definitely not just a place to sleep - it has its own soul and character. The living room was probably our favorite part. Sometimes it feels like a small museum, sometimes like a cozy old bar :) There are lots of warm lights, different old pieces of furniture, vintage objects and interesting little details everywhere. There’s even an old piano that fits the room perfectly and adds even more character to the place. And the wine fridge was a great touch - especially after coming back from a day at the beach with a bottle of local wine. In the evening, when all the lights are on, the atmosphere is just fantastic. It’s the kind of room where you actually want to spend your evenings instead of just going straight to bed. The garden was another favorite. It’s quiet and private, and a great place to have a morning coffee, sit outside in the evening or simply relax after a day at the beach. The house is also very comfortable for everyday living. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was everything a family could need during the stay. It really felt like home. A separate thank you to Marija & Slaviša for their hospitality! They are wonderful, kind and very attentive hosts.

The only thing we didn’t like was that our vacation had to end! :)

A beautiful traditional home in a lovely village with excellent restaurants. The bedrooms were very well fitted out with comfy memory foam mattresses. It was a nice surprise to have free permits to allow entry to the nearby Camping Mon Perrin by the sea with its excellent floating water slides and cafes.

Ideally we'd have had one large eating area for all nine of us outside rather than the two tables in different areas. But the inside dining table was large enough for everyone at breakfast. There were a lot of wasps in the garden and one of us was stung. When we noticed they were all going in and out of a hole in the garden wall we told the owner and he sent a neighbour round to drown them in lighter fluid. As we left we noticed they started going in and out of the same hole so I suspect this problem hadn't been solved.
