Soggiorno davvero piacevole e confortevole, in una casa ricca di fascino e personalità. La disposizione delle camere su piani diversi è ideale anche per famiglie.
La posizione è perfetta: nel cuore della Lucca storica ma in un ambiente tranquillo e silenzioso.
Molto comodo anche il parcheggio nel chiostro, un prezioso valore aggiunto per la nostra Mercedes Classe E.

Casa del Campanaro is in the cloister of the cathedral: an oasis of light and serenity, quiet and luminous even though it sits in the very heart of the historic center. This house gave us something far rarer.
It stands so close to the campanile you could almost touch the stone — and yet, true to its name, no bells ring. You live in the most beautiful corner of Lucca and still sleep through the night. The house has its own stillness, wrapped in old walls, as if the city paused just beyond the door.
Inside, it feels like a beautifully restored chapter of Lucca’s past. The restoration was done with painstaking respect for the original 11th-century materials: old stone, high ceilings, calm, history in every surface. What makes it remarkable is how completely the modern comforts disappear into that medieval soul. Quiet air conditioning, strong Wi-Fi, a real kitchen with a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, soundproofing, and parking on site inside the walls. The mattresses are wonderfully comfortable and the linens are of the highest quality.
Along the stairs stands an original antique wooden statue of Pope Alexander II, bishop of Lucca in the mid-11th century, then pope, who never gave up this city. He rebuilt the Cathedral next door and helped shape the churches of the historic center. Passing him each morning is unforgettable. It is not decoration. It is a presence.
There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Each bathroom has a large shower with a comfortable built-in seat and hydromassage. After walking the walls and eating far too well, sitting down in that warm water became our favorite ritual of the stay.
Then the moment I still think about: you step outside, walk twenty paces… and you are under the loggia of the Cathedral!
