We loved Casa el Escalerón, it was easy to find, located in the beautiful village of Uña, with restaurants, the local shop and walks all on the doorstep. Although we didn't meet Fernando, he was a great host and we knew we could contact him if we had any issues. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The view from the terrace was lovely and we were lucky that we mostly had this to ourselves for our holiday, although we wouldn't have minded sharing with other guests, as it was very spacious, with ample seating to use. The surrounding area itself is beautiful, with lots of lovely places to visit in easy driving distance. We spotted lots of wildlife (deer, wild boar, badger, fox etc.) within the village, some from our terrace. We were actually there for the total eclipse and wouldn't usually travel to Spain at this time of year, as it was too hot to do much hiking. We would return in cooler months, and would definitely stay at Casa el Escalerón again.
There were no condiments to use, like olive oil, salt, pepper etc. It's only a minor point, but it would've been nice to have a few things to use for cooking. Some of the cutlery and utensils were also a bit basic and there was a lack of large glasses.

Ubicación perfecta, fácil aparcar, buen tamaño para hasta 5 personas, a la barbacoa no le faltaba detalle, vistas ideales.
Lo único que los dos sofás son muy incómodos para estar sentados. (Como sofá cama no está mal pero para estar sentado porque te sale un día de lluvía, por ejemplo, muy incomodos).
