About this condo rental
Situated in Nelson County, this charming condo for $187 per night is a great choice for your next break. Fresh air, cooler temps and Mountain View’s is like food for the soul. Our Dobie condo is situated just steps from the Wintergreen Mountain Inn, Dobie’s beginner ski lift and “The Treehouse kids center and playground” (If your dates aren’t available check out our other condo in Wintergreen “The Highlands” just under a mile further up the mountain~property ID 2202432 also ski in ski out on the Black Diamond advanced slope) Dobie condos- 2 bedroom 2 bath w/ queen sofa bed. Our condo has a personal ski locker and a dedicated parking spot just steps from the condo entrance. Newly and thoughtfully renovated top to bottom with fresh finishes throughout. Both bedrooms have brand new furniture and large closet with plenty of hangers provided. Laundry basket, lint rollers and iron and ironing board as well. Our condo sleeps 6 comfortably with a *Queen sofa bed in the sectional. You’ll find 2 full bathrooms, a shower 🚿 in the master King bedroom and a shower/soaking tub and shower in the guest bath. Queen guest bedroom makes for a great stay for couples- Big smart tv’s in both bedrooms & family room- 3 TVs total. Dobie is our personal condominium when we visit Wintergreen and it is cleaned and sanitized thoroughly as we would our own home and according to recommended guidelines prior to every check in. Plenty of extra linens, bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels etc. and essential paper products including paper towels, hand soap, dish soap restocked prior to every check in. We have a multi use Keurig so you can brew a pot of coffee or bring your favorite single use K-cup flavor. Whether you’re meeting up with friends or spending time with family- take a break from the hustle and bustle atop this sleepy Mountain Resort. *While we are home owners in Wintergreen we are no way affiliated with Wintergreen Inn Resort- you as our guests staying in our Wintergreen home have access to the Chestnut Springs outdoor pool & Pavilion open seasonally & Lake Monocan and several other activities that Wintergreen offers. *We are Not club members and Do Not have access to the indoor pool or fitness center* so please don’t book if you want access to those… Our Dobie condo is just a short walk to many lovely hiking trails or a short drive to local state parks, several wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants & antique stores. Take a short drive less than a mile up the mountain to Blue Ridge Dr. and check out the new Eatery already getting rave reviews “Fire & Frost”! Wintergreen has many lovely hiking trails or check out Historic “Monticello” the Estate of Thomas Jefferson has reopened with enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place- they offer a beautiful garden and tours of the estate & are family friendly-located in nearby Charlottesville check seasonal hours. Shenandoah National Park is just a short drive and Devils Backbone restaurant and brewery, Blue Toad Hard Cider Brewery & Bold Rock Cidery are a few of the local faves & just 15 min drive from the condo. Seasonally…Go cherry picking @ Spring Valley Orchards. Check out Blue Ridge Fruit Loop- we love Strawberry picking nearby as well. So much to do May - December just google "Visit Nelson County Virginia"!! So much to see and do close by. Perhaps you just want to stay in and enjoy the scenery- Stream your favorite Netflix or Hulu show or just get comfortable for Apres-ski on the patio overlooking the blue Ridge Mountains. Wintergreen Resort does offer activities for a fee so visit their website for what’s happening real time. Wintergreen restaurant walking distance from our Dobie condo “The Edge” currently open with social distance seating and takeout & Upper Crust Pizza- for takeout and a full service Exxon gas station & convenience market on property for all sorts of food items or essentials. *Seasonally-Wintergreen’s Stoney Creek 18 hole Golf course and Tennis court is open to us as well. Wintergreen’s Lake Monocan is open to guests Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday *not Monday, Tuesday or Saturday* you can purchase a day pass for a fee. Google “Wintergreen Resort” for real time current events and what’s happening this season as it’s a four season resort!

Used as a base for catching a play in Staunton, and for hiking. Celebrating birthdays. Easy drive to Staunton, and great hiking very nearby. Located 5 min walk to store on the property with food and wine. Also a gas station, restaurant and bar. Everything one could need.
The home is beautiful. Immaculate and the kitchen has everything you need.
Communication with the host was easy. November was a great time to be there; not many people.
Layout was great for two couples. Bedrooms were far enough apart to be private.

This property is a wonderful wooden oasis set in the trees with easy access to resort amenities. The space is cozy, with a fantastic balcony, and a well equipped kitchen. This was our second stay with the same property owner and both of their locations are truly lovely! Highly recommend!

Our stay at this condo was fabulous. It is in a great location right near the lodge and market and we were able to hike to a waterfall straight from the property. The condo was impeccably clean and well organized. It was in perfect condition and we especially loved the sunken den and deck with a view. It was well stocked and had everything and anything you would need. We had a wonderful ladies' weekend enjoying the much cooler (than home) weather! I would definitely stay here again and hope to bring the family next time!

“Well done!” We have stayed in many VRBOs here at Wintergreen and all over. Niquita's Dobie unit isn’t the largest or the most expensive we’ve rented but we must say, overall it is certainly the nicest. It's clear that Niquita has "done this before" and put thought into her execution. This condo is nicely updated and fashionably, functionally and tastefully decorated…and it’s CLEAN! Finally, she's done the details so well. Nothing's missing, and what is there is easy to find and works (no cast off pots with loose handles, dull knives, puzzles with missing pieces, etc.) Our quick trips away from home aren’t bank breakers, but it’s nice to know that we’ve received good value and enjoyment for the dollars spent.
Now, about Niquita as a host. Phenomenal.
Our planned weekend getaway to visit family, quickly turned into a family medical emergency (not to do in anyway with the resort or the property), but Niquita was so accommodating to arising special needs. She was always accessible and kind.
We hope to stay with her again.

Just perfect for our family to enjoy our annual ski trip to Wintergreen. Condo is meticulously cleaned and maintained, tastefully decorated and designed and so very cozy. We absolutely love staying here. Naquita is such a great host too :)

My family so enjoyed this home. It is impeccable and comfortable, fully appointed, and with great proximity to the slopes. We were able to fully enjoy our time together as a family. The ski locker was brilliant and kept the mess of boots and gear out of the home. The working fireplace was a wonderful treat for the children. It is very close to the Highlands Express lift, which made starting and ending our time on the slopes convenient and quick. It is a beautiful home and we arena thankful for the opportunity to treasure it as the owners clearly do.

It was the perfect spot for our ski trip! Previously we've stayed in Dobie condos a bit further down the mountain but due to snow conditions (or lack of 😅) the condos further down would’ve required a drive or far walk to the open sloped. This was the perfect location right in front of the express lift!

My family and enjoy a short mountain adventure in this beautiful and well appointed condo annually. As it’s our third year, we truly feel at home here. Lots to do and close to everything, from winter sports to sledding, eating, hiking, drinking, overlooking. We love playing board games, coloring, watching movies, and building legos by the fire. We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this Dobie condo on our way home from Tennessee. This was our 3rd stay in this section of Wintergreen and it is the best yet! The condo is very clean and nicely decorated. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. We will definitely stay again if we get back to Wintergreen!

This was our first visit to Wintergreen and we fell in love! Part of that was because of this property. It was an absolutely perfect place for our family of 5 to stay. The sunken living room with the fireplace and view of the ski slopes was such a unique feature. I can only imagine how lovely it would be in the winter. It is conveniently located to the lodge, ski slopes, hiking trails, and playground. We are already looking for our next date to visit and will try to stay here again!
