Nestled in Governors Harbour, this attractive house for $206 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Peach House is comprised of an upstairs and downstairs apartment, both of which have a bright and sunny, open-plan living and dining area. Both apartments are fully air-conditioned and include free Wi-Fi Internet, TVs with Firestick streaming, well appointed kitchens and washer/dryers. This cottage is very centrally located at the top of the hill in Governors Harbour, and is part of the distinguished Governors Harbour Collection group of properties, on Eleuthera. The downstairs apartment at Peach House consists of an open-plan living and dining area, with French doors opening to a private patio equipped with sun loungers and a small outdoor table and chairs. The master bedroom features a king bed and has an en-suite bathroom, with walk-in shower. The kitchen is fully equipped, and appliances include a glass-topped electric range and oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and blender. The apartment has access to an adjoining laundry room with a washer and dryer. A propane BBQ is shared between the upstairs and ground floor apartment. The apartment includes beach towels, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a cooler bag for beach days. For parents travelling with infants and young toddlers, the property managers can arrange for a traveler crib/pack n' play, high chair, and high chair for your convenience. For occasions when 3 persons are travelling, a single rollaway bed will be added to the living room space. This is ideal for small families with one child or teenager. Peach House can be rented along with other homes on the estate to accommodate larger groups. Daily housekeeping, private chef, and other services are always available on the estate for an additional charge. The town of Governors Harbour, a three-minute walk down the hill, has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour, is a weekly street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street until late! A stroll downhill from the estate in the other direction leads to French Leave Beach, one of the finest beaches on the island and one of the great beaches of the Caribbean. By foot, it’s about 8 minutes to French Leave, a mile-long crescent of pink sand which is literally deserted most of the time. The island of Eleuthera is famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. There is excellent sightseeing as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, a bottomless ocean hole, many unique beaches, historic churches and 19th century homes, and small villages to explore.

The Peach House is in a great location-- we walked to Club Med Beach everyday and into town. The neighborhood is pretty quiet; the house has everything you need. Plenty of room for a couple. Joy and Dom were very good about checking in with us. We had one problem with the wifi and they were right on it. We would definitely stay here again!

Great stay for a couple
My girlfriend and I stayed at Peach House and absolutely loved it. Great location near the best beaches around the corner. Clean and functional space. Nice well appointed kitchen. Best of all was the great support from our hosts Joy and Dom.

The internet pictures of the property were exactly what we found - an adorable, comfortable, clean and well-equipped first floor apartment with a wonderful owner/host close by. We loved seeing the beautiful tropical flowers and plants right out the door and took advantage of the fresh tomatoes in the garden out back. It was a delight to find a delicious lasagna meal and beverages waiting for us when we arrived, and a thank you to Kathy, our hostess, for helping us secure a rental car. While town and the beach are within walking distance, the steepness of the hill proved a little too much for these 70 year old visitors -- so reserve your rental car in advance, if you can. If interested in using a guide to fish, make those arrangements in advance also(they were booked on days we could fish). All in all, this was the ultimate relaxing vacation, not a single thing we'd change about it.

A wonderful host, a beautiful stay
We chose Eleuthra for a quiet time to recharge - and celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! We couldn't have made a better choice. To start, the Peach House was a perfect spot to call home. Located in Governor's Harbour, you got to feel like you were a bit in a community there, and being centralized it is an easy drive to all the sights. The accommodations are excellent, bright/airy/clean and very welcoming. Kathy welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a home made lasagna, perfect for a first meal after travel. Would love to do it again some time.

Relaxing in paradise
This was our second stay at Governor's Harbour and in one of The Coleman's properties. From our arrival to the day we left everything was perfect. The house is so inviting with the numerous french doors to open and let in the beautiful breeze, lasagna and wine waiting on the counter, and of course Cathy welcoming us back!! I am almost tempted to keep this to myself. I already feel a little possessive of this beautiful retreat. It is honestly the only vacation I take where I can completely relax! We'll be back…..

Kathy was so welcoming and accommodating! The apartment was clean, cute and very well appointed. She even made us lasagna for our first night's stay, and was very helpful with places we should explore and which beaches to seek out. We can't wait to go back!

EXQUISITE!
My wife and I just returned from a week on Eleuthera and had an Awesome time.
The accommodations were spectacular, including your daily alarm of the roosters every morning. We were in the downstairs unit of the Peach House which was tastefully decorated. Upon our arrival Kathy came to introduce herself and let us know of all the places we should see and were to eat. She also provided lasagna, a bottle of wine and a few cold beers to enjoy our first day.
Both Kathy & Bob were amazing host and the location couldn't be any better. A short walk down to Club Med Beach or French Leave Beach in one direction and down to the Daily Perk for coffee and fresh baked goods in the other. Kathy also had a fresh garden that you could pick herbs and veggies from for any meals that you may want to prepare.
The other homes she has on the property are also tastefully done and we would definitely return and bring friends to stay in one of the homes. if you are there on a Friday night you have to attend the fish fry down in Governor's Harbour were the locals and tourist all gather and enjoy themselves with Food, Drinks, Music and Dancing.
Overall as Kathy would say it was "LOVELY".

Very cute!
This apartment is perfect for 1 or 2 people. Large king sized bed and 1.5 bathrooms. Nice quiet area. Everything needed for a comfortable stay. A view of the ocean would have been nice, but the grounds are very pretty and well kept, so make up for the lack of a view. Kathy and Bob are very pleasant and always close by to answer questions or help you unlock the door if you lock yourself out of the apartment. ;o) Loved the little garden out back. I had a fresh salad every night. Governor's Harbour is in the process of being re-establised, with many renovations. It's central location is convenient for visiting all areas of the island. Very quaint.

What a Gem!
We stumbled onto this incredibly immaculate,well maintained and appointed rental for 5 magical days mid March 2016. The apartment is absolutely beautifully decorated with high end amenities to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The owners, Kathy and Bob, have anticipated their guests needs/wants providing items most people didn't even think they might need or want! They are both highly respected professionals in the area not to mention very nice people.
Kathy is a very welcoming hostess providing a thorough property and island orientation. There is a "house cell phone" to enhance your visit and peace of mind. In addition to the high-end amenities of the property, you will receive a DELICIOUS vegetable lasagna, bottle of wine, beer and water upon your arrival. There is also a vegetable/herb garden she invites you to share. Laundry facilities are right out the back door with a handy clothes tree for air drying, if desired.
The island is serene, relaxed and beautiful. Completely safe. Closest beach: down the hill, take a left, then a right and stop when you hit blue!!!! Site of the old Club Med. It is walk-able, but might be a bit challenging with umbrella, beach chairs, coolers, beach bag etc...I recommend you rent a car...we used Mr. Kean Stubbs and he was awesome! You will also want to explore the island so the car is necessary. You are central in Governor's Harbor ...travel north or south you can't miss. Take a trip down to Rock Sound and stop at Tarpum Bay for fresh conch salad at one the stalls. Meet the fisherman in either Governors Harbor or Tarpum Bay in the afternoon for the fresh catch. Does not get any better than that. Enjoy lunch at Sky Beach or drinks/snacks at Tippy's.

Comfortable and stylish
The listing description was accurate and very clean..We were greeted by the owner, who had prepared a homemade lasagna, and left a bottle of red wine to go with it. We very much appreciated this after our long journey. She also invited us to partake of the fresh vegetables in her garden, which we did almost every nite, enjoying delicious
salads as a result. We were also able to do our own laundry easily and it was a delight to dry it naturally outdoors.
The apartment itself is lovely, very stylishly appointed, and extremely comfortable.
Yes, I would recommend this property with the caveat that it is at the top of a hill, and therefore a challenge for walking, and a car is necessary to get to the beaches of Eleuthera.
Kathy was very friendly and forthcoming in her recommendations of places to eat, etc.

2nd time in Paradise, aka Peach House, Eleuthera
My husband & I are lucky to be able to travel a lot around the world, and we always like to explore something new, but Peach House is the only place where we have returned, and hope to return again...and again. The first time we have stayed and enjoyed Kathy's hospitality was in 2012 November, and since we had the perfect dream-vacation, we came back this April. The apartment is perfect for a couple, you have all the amenities you need: super comfy bedroom & beautiful living room & dining area, fully equipped kitchen, very nice private patio. Kathy is the perfect host, she thinks of everything, so you have everything available for you that you can need during your vacation, like chairs and sun umbrellas for you to take with you to the beach, lots of pretty candles to have a romantic evening on the patio :-), books to enjoy, etc. The location is absolutely the best, being on the top of the hill - very few places put you in a walking distance to both the beach & the town and shops of Governor's Harbor. I am already dreaming about coming back for the 3rd time!

Peach House lower level suite is a clean, nicely decorated, well maintained and equipped unit. There is plenty of sunshine in the unit and on a nice sun patio with lounge chairs, we were happy to also have some shade available under the deck.The king size bed was very comfortable!
The location on top of the hill provides a lovely breeze and an easy ten minute walk into Governor's Harbour for groceries, the bakery, supplies, exploring the town, restaurants and getting fresh fish at the ramp for grilling. Ten minutes walk in the other direction brings you to the stunningly beautiful Club Med beach. By choice we did not have a vehicle for this portion of our trip and frequently tourists and locals alike stopped to offer us drives.
It was so nice to meet the owners Kathy and Bob and their dog Joe Louis. Kathy supplied us with a delicious veggie lasagna and some beer and wine to tide us over the first day, she also invited us to use items in her garden.
We would definitely recommend this property to others.We found booking and working with the staff from Homeaway easy and they were prompt about replying to any questions we had.

This was a wonderful choice for a romantic week on Eleuthera. The downstairs apartment was excellent, just as described. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday afternoon and Kathy met us and had very kindly left us a lasagne, beer and wine for dinner as little was open. The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated, would love to reproduce it at home. It contained everything needed for a lovely stay, great kitchen facilities, lovely bathroom, plenty of towels, comfortable bed, nice courtyard.
Kathy recommended places to eat, where to buy food, allowed us to pick from her garden and provided great advice.
Would go back to stay tomorrow if it wasn't so far away. Thank you

The Peachhouse is centrally located on the island which makes it perfect for exploring the island. The house was clean and stocked with all of the amenities needed for a vacation. The owners are exeptionally nice people and we received outstanding service. I would recommend the Peachhouse to my family and friends. Best vacation every!!!!

First of all I would like to say that Kathy & Bob are the best host you can have. When we arrived we originally had the downstairs but Kathy gave us a free upgrade to the upstairs apartment. They also have several other homes that have pools, and because there were no guest at the other rentals we had full access to the pools. The apartment was very clean, and full of everything you needed while away from home. We went during the not so busy season so it was very quiet and not to many restaurants were open, and there were'nt any local bars when you can go dancing or just to go out and have fun. If you're looking for a quiet relaxed vacation then Eleuthra is the place for you.....
