Gorgeous location - beautiful beach and lots of activities and restaurants nearby! Good value for money.

We were in Unit 1, one of two rooms in a duplex bungalow immediately beside the reception/lobby/deck and one of two bungalows at the beachfront. Polynesian flavour, white-washed exterior, well kept grounds. Our unit was glass fronted looking west to the beach and great sunsets. The main building has a lovely lounge, open to a large covered deck with various seating areas. This is where an optional breakfast is served ($29 per person). There is free coffee all day and lockable individual guest fridges in the serving area if you wish to do self catering. Adjacent to the deck is an outside shower. Six kayaks are available for use (no charge). Several bicycles are available for use. The hotel rents cars on site. AC, room safe, mini fridge, tile floors, beach towels provided, good clothing storage, a small lanai with two chairs. Nowhere to hang wet swimwear other than the backs of those chairs. Good bed with a firm mattress and a good bathroom with modern fixtures. The beach is a nice sand beach, easy entry, and okay snorkelling. I say “okay” because there was just anemone, a few fish, and a couple of big wolf eels. However, just north of the hotel (300-400 yds) there is Tiahura beach with great snorkeling. Temperatures were 27 C air and 28 C water. What’s not to like. There are several good restaurants and a supermarket an 8 minute walk from the hotel. One of those restaurants (Tamah'au) provided shuttle service, which was nice because it gets quite dark to walk after sunset. We were very pleased with having chosen this hotel and would stay here again.

The location is just beautiful Watching sunsets were the highlight of the trip. It is near tons of shops and restaurants

The rooms did not feel like the pictures. The bathroom was dated and really showed wear and tear.
