Highly recommended.

Best option for for its money. The hosts are absolutely amazing, warm and friendly. Food and bier are good.

We got a room without windows, so there was a bit stuffy at night.

I loved staying at the Stollenbacher Huette and will certainly be staying there again soon!

I loved the very friendly owners! The food was delicious, and the room was cozy. The breakfast was very enjoyable. My stay had a very relaxing effect on me, and I left in very good spirits. That is more than one could ask for!

There's not much I didn't like but if I would mention anything, It would be the noise coming from the neighboring rooms. It is an old house, so the walls are very thin. This is something the current owners cannot help, but I think the guests - particularly those with very energetic kids! - should perhaps be asked to be more considerate of the other guests. I also think the owners might consider putting very small bathrooms in the more expensive rooms, so the guests don't have to "travel" through the upper floor at night to go to the toilet. Just an idea!

An exceptional get-away in the Black Forest

The Stollenbacher Hütte was an exceptional mountain hut experience - not just an overnight stay. A true experience of the Schwarzwald in a rather remote location with wonderful people, wonderful food and cozy rooms.
