It was magical to stay on a boat hotel on the Sava river. We ate at the restaurant on the boat twice for drinks and snack and once for dinner. The staff were delightful! It was hot so they brought us ice cold beers in frosty glasses and buckets of ice which they replenished. The food was delicious. We ate breakfast on the boat next door which worked out great. I had high expectations and they were exceeded

Although it was difficult to find as we parked in a scruffy area and had to walk to the hotel with our bags, once we arrived at the river and walked aboard it was magical! We had a wonderful big room overlooking the river, with a deck extending over it and the best dinner of our trip from UK there - everything is homemade and delicious. A wonderful experience and the staff were great, especially the maitre d’.
Difficulty in finding it was the only issue!!

It is quite an experience to sleep on Sava river and have the feeling you're travelling through the river...surrounded by ducks, birds, fish, swans, frogs (a small zoo). The room (and the Bahus inn in general) is well equipped - in ancient schooner style, and it is remarkable. We also enjoyed the dinner at the Bahus restaurant
