Sehr grosszügiges Zimmer mit wunderschönem Blick!!!

Die Beleuchtung im Badezimmer muss definitiv verbessert werden!!Man konnte sich dort unmöglich korrekt pflegen und schminken!!!

Food experience

Great location! Had a private pool which was nice. Nice and accommodating staff. Good breakfast compared to other hotels in The Gambia.

The towels smelled, but they have the same smell at all hotels this time of year (humidity). TV was not working. Although we had a musqito net around the bed, we did not have one on the terrace door

I will definitely bring my family to stay but I hope the road is fixed.

Location was great can see the ocean from my room

The road to the hotel need to be fixed, when it rain a lake is form in the front of the hotel.

Fantastic trip, had a lovely time here

The breakfast was great and there was plenty of it, the staff were kind and friendly. Room was clean bed was comfy.

The only problem was the road leading up to the hotel is in a bad state of repair and needs fixing desperately.

Exceptional

The hotel was deceptive, it look like uninviting at the reception, but once you get into the hotel proper, you will be blown away. I have a room like in the above picture and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. There are two members of staff that are worth mentioning Fatou and Ahmadu, they are very very helpful and are a pleasure to be with.

The reception appearance, but that changes as soon as you get into the actual hotel.

Easter in The Gambia

The staff happy, friendly, entertainment every night. Food presented well.

Room needed some love, our pool was cold, same menu every night. Would have been good to have a couple of themed nights a week. If you are on three meals a day, it gets boring choosing from the same menu. Could have a buffet at lunch and the menu in the evening

Yes the room is ok But one lady for reception take me money in plus for 2 night ..I stay only one night I hope to see back my money then no I will make reclamation by booking

Superb

The staff were very professional and nothing was too much trouble

The location was a little disappointing. We thought it would be closer to the sister hotel Tamala.

Not to be repeated

Nice big room, nice beach and hot and cold water shower.

Booked incl free airport shuttle and was being charged 30euro. Hospitality staff didn't feel authentic. The sea view room wasn't the one in the pictures and stucked back. The previous guest had complained and problably got my room.... Poco Loco is next doors at the beach, so drum beats all night long untill 5am

Great Stay Apart From Very Unfriendly Staff at Reception

Private pool was beautiful. We were worried about staying here because of the medium reviews, but the food was the best we had in The Gambia. -Brilliant entertainment -Very very good location (walking distance from main bars, restaurants and monkey park) -Very clean rooms and pool although the rooms are quite dated, musty and mouldy.

The rooms are massive but quite damp. Nothing particularly special about the rooms but they are huge! Staff at reception are very unfriendly and unwilling to help with anything including excursions.

Utter disaster

I am finding it difficult to say anything I liked about the place but I would say, the proximity to the beach

The whole establishment needs a revamp. It is run down and not what it used to be 5 years ago. Our bed was creeky meaning we didn't get any decent sleep. Then the breakfast area and food were absolutely in shambles. I would NEVER GO BACK THERE.

Lovely paradise

This is a beautiful place and has everything for a very relaxing time. It has a beautiful private beach right in front of it, it has a few private pools and it's a very calm and relaxing place. I loved the decoration surprise for my fiancé (even though communication was poor as it was meant to happen at arrival) but was happy that it worked out in the end.I will definitely return, as aside from the "hiccups" I've had a lovely time. This is a beautiful retreat if you need to runaway from the busy lifestyle! 😁

The organisation of things was all over the place. I had the booking done for months and they still made a mistake, I have booked a room with private pool and a beach view. We didn't get the beach view and we were offered half board to compensate as there was no other rooms available. The room was painted either the same day or day before and smell of paint was too strong. When we arrived several things were not in place. The Internet router and TV installation had to be done while we were there. The mosquito net on the bed was placed after our arrival too and the sofas cover were fitted as we were entering the room. No tea bags were supplied at time of arrival, had to ask and it seems they were counting tea bags(we were a couple and only had 2 tea bags for the stay of 3 days)! Organisation needs to run better and improve the quality of service provided. Overall, restaurant staff and grounds staff were polite and friendly, but unfortunately management needs to improve those aspects to make it a better and smootg stay for customers.

perfect week away to recoup, rejouvante and detox

the staff were amazing and friendly, as is all of Gambia, the location was perfect, the beach was on my front door

with several hotels and bars operating on the same strip, i find i disappointing that all the owners havent come together to fix the roads and walk ways, not a fault of Balafon, but during the rainy season, the roads are unuseable and you'll find your footwear being destroyed fairly quickly

My stay was very good the staff treat me very nice. very much attentive to my needs and request.

the Break fast could be better with different varieties, every morning the same thing over and over

the manage need improvement on the building to make it more appealing with a better presentation of the lobby entrance to make it look more like a very modern hotel.
