I stayed at the Holiday Inn South Lake Guangzhou for a full month and had an excellent experience from start to finish.
A special thank you to Milano and Addy at the reception. They were incredibly helpful with every request and question I had. Both girls were always professional, responsive, and genuinely caring — it really made a difference during my long stay.
Everything at the hotel was maintained to a very high standard. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, daily housekeeping was consistent, and both the gym and pool were well-kept and pleasant to use. For a month-long stay, I felt the hotel offered great value, comfort, and reliability.
I would definitely recommend Holiday Inn South Lake Guangzhou to anyone looking for a solid, well-managed hotel in Guangzhou.
There are no disadvantages, everything is fine.

I liked that most of the staff spoke English, they were very helpful and polite. The hotel had a laundry room with washer and dryer (bonus). Tje breakfast selection is good; lots of options for all cultures.The location worked well for me, even though it was approximately 30 mins from the city (loved that it was out of the hustle and bustle). I felt safe.
The carpets in the hallways needed a bit of deep cleaning. The air in the room could have been more fresh.
