Uniquely, this particular street is so serene and relaxing, you'll forget just how close to town you are! Enjoy the gardens surrounding the home with various blooms for each season. This is our second time staying at this beautiful cottage. Our son and his family live here and when there are too many of us we stay at a rental. This cottage is roomy and so very comfortable and cozy. Everything you need is at your disposal. It's close to Asheville and surrounding areas. There is so much to here. I love Hendersonville's downtown, its picturesque! Sandy is wonderful, she will be there for all your needs. We can't wait to visit our family again and stay at this fantastic home. 😊

Overall we enjoyed it and the starter supplies in the house were really great! The overhead fans didn't work well and the walk to town was longer than we expected but the house is cute and met our needs.

Hats off to Joe and Sandy for all of the little extras to make our weeks vacation special. Their cottage/home is in the perfect area for getting to restaurants, etc., fairly quickly. We would surely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Hendersonville area to strongly consider this VRBO. We visited the towns of Bryson City, Maggie Valley, Brevard and Saluda. Took in a train ride, went to waterfalls that could basically be seen from the roadside (at 70 years plus, didn’t feel lie trekking through the woods) at at some nice restaurants and enjoyed the Fall Colors. It was a wonderful trip and the home made it extra special for my wife and me.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sylvan Cottage! Sandy was such a great, communicative host - she always responded so promptly! The house was so clean and cozy, but still had room for our multi-generational group - my husband and I, my parents, our teenager, and our toddler all had plenty of space. The house is exactly as pictured in listing. We enjoyed the front porch under the turning fall leaves and several peaceful walks through the quiet neighborhood. We will use this house as our base in Hendersonville every time we come back!

This is a lovely, comfortable property, close to Main Street Hendersonville. The property is as described in the listing, the hosts were wonderfully accommodating and the check in/check out process was simple. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

When we arrived, I realized I hadn't filled out a document. That was my fault. The owner came over within 10 minutes with the document for me to sign and helped us get in the house. The house was super clean and perfect for our needs as we were there for a family wedding.

We stayed here a weekend on the way to another destination. We enjoyed this home so much. It was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It is close to downtown and several good restaurants nearby, We loved mornings on the porch watching all the birds and did get to see the white squirrels also. Kitchen was well stocked although we did not cook much. The only possible negative was the lack of cable for tv and needed to try to stream shows from our phones. The internet speed would not allow us to watch a movie one rainy night without serious buffering so we ended up just going to sleep early. Even with this loved the house.

We stayed for 10 days and was the perfect location and cottage for our Mountain Bike adventure. The location is central to everything you need in town and only a short drive to Asheville and all the mountain towns near by. The garage was perfect to store our bikes.
Home was clean with more room than expected. Kitchen was fully stocked for meal prep, namely about bed linens and they were high quality.
Sandy was super responsive, check-in was seamless. We will definitely rent this home again if in the area.

In all, this was the right choice for our rental home in Hendersonville.

The furniture, beds, etc. were comfortable and the property is very well maintained. My friend and I had a wonderful week of shopping, hiking, wineries and relaxing. The home was clean, comfortable, and had a well-stocked kitchen. It was the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring. We would definitely recommend this property.

Two separated bedrooms on single level in lovely tree-filled residential neighbourhood. Deep skylights open up rooms. Keyless door entry & interior alarm easy to operate. Efficient heating/cooling system. Entry to steep rear driveway takes some maneuvering but convenient for loading/unloading.

Sky light in the bedroom ceiling needs to go. Toilets should be swapped out with right height models. Height of these commodes more appropriate for potty training 3 year olds. If you are seeking senior citizens then you need to have their needs in mind. Driveway entrance difficult should use back entrance and exit, Street does need widening or made into one way. Internet service was unreliable it should have additional electrical outlet to power it up instead of current system.
