About this apartment rental
The apartment is on the first floor of an elegant Florentine building in Via del Moro. Access to the floor with elevator or stairs, as you prefer.
From the entrance that you share with another apartment you can access yours; both apartments have a separate entrance and therefore their privacy.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen / living room, a bathroom with shower, a very elegant bedroom and two large single beds on the mezzanine, all open space.
VERY IMPORTANT
- We have the self check in so after the booking you will receive mail with all the access details;
- you will have to pay the tourist tax of € 3 per person per night, it will be € 4 per person per night from January 1, 2020 as per current legislation

The condo is nice and good for a short stay. It is a compact space. We were in town for just two days so the layout didn’t bother is much. The second bedroom is actually a loft and overlooks the lower bedroom. There is a sheer curtain but it offers little privacy. Future travelers should also note the spiral staircase is narrow so hauling larger suitcases upstairs will be difficult. This positives of this space is it was clean and the beds were comfortable. It’s also close to the train station which makes the “bag drag” less painful. It is also close to a bridge where you can cross the river and explore quieter areas of Florence.

We loved Maria’s apartment. It was in a great location, close to restaurants, shops and within a 15 minute walk to everything we wanted to do. It has high ceilings and was very spacious with fun decor. The host was very flexible and even willing to let us leave our bags before check in so we didn’t have take them around the city with us. Make note, it took us some time to figure out the washer and dryer. It’s one unit and doesn’t fully dry on the first cycle. We found washing worked well on 5 and we would put it through a second dry cycle on 13. We would have let our clothes drip dry, but our stay was in the middle of the trip and we had a lot of washing! I would definitely stay here again!

Maria was very responsive and helpful with check in and any questions we had and checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything
Place was very clean, lots of pillows on beds and bonus for us North Americans, there was an ice cube tray!! Haha
Large bedroom with queen bed and storage. There are 3 twin beds upstairs, the spiral staircase can be challenging for some adults especially after a few wines, but we managed. Not ideal to bring luggage up though and not much space to leave downstairs but we managed by moving a few things around. Upstairs is open to downstairs so can be loud if trying to sleep upstairs and downstairs friends are up and talking
We were 4 ladies on a girls trip, was easy to share « app » to unlock doors and leave interior door keys in lock box.
Small downfalls, only sitting area is at the kitchen table, no living space with sofa/comfy chairs to chill after long day of walking. And the shower is quite tight. But both manageable! Also, if you’re planning on doing laundry, I highly suggest hang drying it, dryer takes FOREVER. There is a rack available!
Location was great, less than 10 mins from train with lots of restaurants and grocery near by.
I would recommend and would stay again!

While the location was good and the unit was clean, getting access was very confusing. Fortunately for us after a 22 hour trip to get to Florence a neighboring rental couple came along and helped us get in. The hall way was dark and there are two step transitions that you can’t see. It would be very helpful to have the keys labeled and the doors identified. There was no living room area just the kitchen table. The sleeping areas up above the one bedroom is open to below. Not optimal. As the light shines thru so you can’t sleep. The single bed sleeping areas was open to the kitchen below and I had to duck so that I didn’t hit my head. The spiral staircase was difficult and so narrow. I felt the unit was misrepresented by previous guests in the comments.
