This is an absolute gem of a find. In the heart of Skipton, with parking. It is warm and cozy but with everything you could wish for. The facilities are excellent. The owner is very responsive with communications. Highly recommend.

A really well equipped property in a very central location but still nice and quiet at night. Stunning inside with a luxury feel.

Fantastic place for 2 to stay - never stayed anywhere better. Beautifully kitted out and decor - the person who designed this is very skillful and a genius. Lots of little extra's you would never find. At one point I said, I tell you what this place could do with is a footstool - my partner said, there is one, her you are - literally nothing left to chance. Free wifi and all the sockets and charging points you could ever want. Best bed and feather eiderdown I've slept in since my mums - totally faultless - so much so have already booked to go again in March so we can finish off seeing the places we didn't see this time.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at 1855 Washouse. Having visited Skipton a number of times we had often past this place and thought it looked really appealing. Now that we have stayed there we can confirm it is equally lovely inside as well as out. As well as everything you need it’s absolutely packed with character. Stone flagged floor, comfy sofa and bed, fully equipped kitchen - an absolute gem! So lovely it was hard to leave to go out and visit the lovely places of Skipton.

This quaint little cottage is right in the heart of Skipton town center, and is superbly located and an easy walk for sight seeing, cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants and shops. The cottage itself is beautiful. The attention to detail throughout is fantastic and it's decorated with locally available arts and crafts. Its very compact inside, but perfectly formed, well thought out and equipped with everything you need. The bed is huge and super comfortable. The kitchen has all you need to cook a meal and had complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and even some cookies. The lounge / dining room is cosy and the bathroom was clean and well equipped too. There's even free parking right outside the front door. We loved this place and would highly recommend a stay here.

Practically perfect in every way for our weekend break (Fri to Mon) in Skipton. Recommended to us and we would recommend that readers of this review make a booking as soon as you can. You will not be disappointed, in fact you will be charmed by the history and character of the 'Wash House'. Location in the town centre provides access to all the things you want when away from home. Away from Skipton we visited Bolton Abbey, Embsay and Appletreewick. Lovely walks through woodland and Dales. Thank you Samantha....
