Easy to find using satnav and parking was beside the entrance. It can fill up and your car could get blocked in. Other than check in and out there was no interaction with staff. Our room was on the upper level and was warm and inviting. The old beams and uneven floor topped off the room’s character. The bed was comfortable. The WiFi signal wasn’t very strong and it kept dropping out; almost to the point of being useless. The bathroom wasn’t overly large. Low water pressure or air in the pipes caused the hot water faucet to sputter until the air cleared the pipe. My spouse gave up trying to take a bath because it took too long for the tub to fill. Other than a couple cobwebs where the beams meet the wall on the window end of the room, the room itself seemed clean. A couple minor maintenance items that should be addressed are the broken knob (not even there) to turn on the shower, but the shower was still useable. Worse was when taking a shower the water would stop flowing completely for a minute or so before starting up again. It didn’t happen our second night, so may have been a one off. Sections of the shower’s grout was in need of a good cleaning. Another item was the sliding bathroom door that was not in its track. While I understand the reason for storing the Hoovers up by the room, they really are an eyesore and detract from the overall ambiance of the hotel. Because of the low beams in the room and shower, room 5 may not be the best one for a tall person.

The property was exceptional, quirky and had all the facilities you required. The location was perfect in a beautiful setting.

I cannot fault this property at all.

We had a comfy room with a very comfy bed but the pillows were a little low and two pillows were just a little too high. Other than that it was very pleasant. Our evening meal of an Angus beef burger was excellent and the fillet steak was the best I have ever had, it was superb. The location is excellent for the town centre.

Although there is parking it is limited and quite steep and gravely to get into but the space around that location is limited anyway, so at least there is some parking, so it is a plus rather than a negative.
