About this chalet rental
Nestled in Glacier National Park, this lovely chalet for $465 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Glacier Ridge Chalet is a two story style home, built on an acreage on Hudson's Bay Divide Ridge overlooking St. Mary Lake. The chalet is positioned on a scenic overlook point on land settled by Jack Wagner in early 1900’s and is based on a private 180 acre land parcel. This home is one of the most unique hand crafted dwellings in the Babb/St. Mary area. Amazing local wildlife that will make it feel like your own private zoo. The highlight is a hot tub with a 270° view of Glacier Park, the Rockies and Chief Mountain and dark sky for star gazing and contemplation. The area is a wildlife corridor with elk, deer, moose, horses, and bear frequently observed right outside your door, from the hot tub or the over-sized fire pit area. This is a great venue for a peaceful vacation or for multiple families to connect. The Glacier Ridge chalet has 3 rooms that can sleep 8. The downstairs bedrooms have twin bunks over the lower queen beds. The chalet is child friendly and situated completely off leash. There is a sofa and air mattress which sleeps 2 more. The upstairs area is handcrafted wood with ample seating for all guests with 300° of window expanse that allows viewing of the entire Babb/St. Mary area. There is a small upper deck for animal viewing and star gazing. The chalet is located in a Dark Sky zone allowing for incredible start gazing and occasional viewing of the Northern Lights to the North in late summer through the fall. Glacier Ridge is 1 km down a private road from the renowned Duck Lake Lodge. The lodge offers a full restaurant, pizza oven and road house bar with local entertainment a few nights during the week. Glacier Ridge is located 5 km outside of Babb and 12 km outside of St. Mary. Cellular coverage is by both Verizon, Rogers and limited AT&T networks. The Chalet is on the West side of Divide Ridge and overlooks the West Rockies. Spectacular Sunset viewing location.

5-star views. Grill was very good. Lots of house flies dead and alive. Literally hundreds. We vacuumed them up for an hour first day. Only half hour second day. And 15 mins day 3. Place had a stale smell to it. And a weird cubby hole in one bedroom covered by a towel. The two lower level bedrooms were tiny with bunk beds. Upstairs was nice but stale and flies. Even with this we had a very good stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is like a luxurious log cabin, the pictures don’t do it justice. Clean, modern, and comfortable with magnificent views. Loved the hot tub especially after a cold rainy horseback trail ride. Definitely get groceries before checking in or make a 30 min drive to the nearest store. The only problem was I wish we had more time to stay there.

This lovely and secluded property is located on a ridge with unobstructed stunning views of GNP - Chief mountain and peaks and valleys of Many Glacier and St Mary’s. Multiple fun spots to enjoy the magnificent vista - the rocking chairs on the porch, the viewing platform, the beautifully designed upstairs sitting area, and the hot tub! This home is inviting and immaculate with all the needed amenities and comforts - we cooked breakfast for 4 adults and 3 teens and returned home after hiking to grill steak dinner. It was really an easy process to book with Jon who responded immediately. We would love to return next summer and stay longer!

Loved our time in this beautiful location. Close to East Glacier park entrances (St Mary and Many Glacier) and restaurants, yet set in nature to enjoy the vistas, night sky and hot tub after active days. Thank you Jon.

Our stay at the Glacier Chalet was fantastic. We were there for a week in July with a large, adult family group. It was clean, lots of the basics were already there (soap, laundry/dishwasher detergent, lotion, condiments, spices), and I don't think you'd find anywhere with a better view! We also got to meet Jon when he was there working on another cabin, and he was super nice. The upstairs living room in particular was much bigger than it looked in the listing pictures. Downstairs bedrooms are small, but we didn't spend much time in there between hiking, the hot tub, and sitting on the porch.
The only thing we had trouble with was the heat on the 95 degree days, which I'm sure is unusual for the area. The AC is just a portable unit upstairs. Most of the cooling probably came from opening the windows as it cooled down at night. Wasn't a huge problem and there were no issues on the 70-85 degree days. Just something to consider if you have a family member with a health condition that wouldn't do well in heat.
There were already two bear sprays at the cabin, although one was a bit out of date. We left two more so hopefully the next people will be all stocked up.
Really can't recommend this place enough. I don't think you'd find anywhere better to stay at Glacier with a big group.

Absolutely spectacular property and house to use as your base camp for all things Glacier NP and surrounding areas.
Jon the very friendly owner is close by on site and very easy to communicate with and really wants to make sure you have everything you need for the best possible stay.
Only 20 minutes from the entrances to Many Glacier and St Mary’s, and some fun little local restaurants in the area including the Duck Lake Lodge on the same road as the property is on.
Wonderful abundant property that we and our dogs loved to explore.
Can’t wait to come back!

We loved (!!) our stay at Glacier Ridge. The location is amazing. Felt so remote and yet we were so close to the east side of the park. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen and BBQ worked great for us. Jon was terrific and we enjoyed meeting him so much. Our favorite part of the day was happy hour around the fire pit. It made our stay so terrific and the view is indescribable. Can’t wait to stay here again. We’ll be back. 😊😊😊

Awesome house located on a ridge with lovely views of the mountains of Glacier National Park. House had plenty of room for our family of 5. Saw deer, elk, and a fox during our short stay. Ate dinner at tge nearby Duck lake Lodge one evening, and it was good. Quick and easy trip into the Many Glacier and St. Mary areas of the park. Overall, we will definitely stay here on our next Glacier trip.

We enjoyed our time exploring the east side of Glacier National Park, as well as Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, and Glacier Ridge was a perfect home base for our family. The house was spacious and clean, and the views of the mountains from virtually anywhere in the house or on the property were incredible. Close to Many Glacier, St. Mary, and a short jaunt to the Canadian border on Chief Mountain Road. An easy day trip and worth it! Bring your passports!

The last few years my family and I were unable to go to the East Side of Glacier National Park, so this year we made a point of finding a place near Many Glacier area. This cabin not only had great views but is located perfectly if you are trying to hike in the Many Glacier Area (took about 25mins). The hot tub was awesome after long hikes. And the stars were amazing at night. Honestly really no complaints except be prepared the coffee maker is very slow (took about 40-50 minutes to brew a pot), the shower doesn’t have a liner so be mindful of the water and like others have said the water in the shower definitely is effected when any other water is running in the house. Again, these aren’t enough for me to reduce from a 5 star ⭐️ We are already talking about coming back with the rest of the family in a few years!!

We had a great time staying at this property. Jon (owner) stopped over to ensure we knew how to work everything and gave us his cell number for any questions. Place was extremely well cleaned and so well stocked!. Views from the cabin were beautiful. Enjoyed watching the horses graze, saw deer and a moose on the property. Used the hot tub after a long day of hiking which was so relaxing. Property was so convenient to the Park's entrances of Many Glacier and St. Mary. Property also convenient to a couple excellent eating establishments, Two Sister and Cattle Baron.

Haven’t ever seen stars so clearly and we live in the country in Kansas. Well equipped kitchen with very nice appliances. Very nice washer/dryer. It was just the two of us but definitely big enough for a family. Very close to Many Glacier, St Mary and Two Medicine. Very clean. Master bed, which is the only one we used, was comfortable.

We booked this property for a few days during a weeklong trip to explore Glacier NP. This is an excellent location to access some parts of the park which are “off the beaten path” and allowed us to get much more out of our Glacier experience. House is clean and well maintained; Jonathan was very helpful and communicative. The location is practically unbeatable: coffee outside while watching the mountains, and we were even visited by some elk! Plenty of space inside for us to spread out and relax, and the surrounding area near Babb had some cute restaurants to explore.
The bad thing about a week in Glacier NP is that you can only possibly get to a small portion of the trails. The good thing is therefore that we will be back, and we will definitely book this cabin again to make the most of our trip. Thanks Jonathan!

Great place to stay. Very close to Glacier NP east side. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We even saw a full double rainbow one evening. Property owner was very helpful with our questions and concerns. Hot tub at the end of a long hike was perfect.

Perfect Basecamp on the East Side!
The layout of Glacier Ridge was perfect for our 3 adult/5 teenager group. Outstanding views from the upper level, front porch and fire pit were our entertainment for the week! There is only one shower which could challenge some bigger groups but there was no shortage of hot water. Jon graciously made available the 4 wheeler which was likely the highlight for the boys! The hot tub was a treat we thoroughly enjoyed after a day of hiking. We will definitely return to this beautiful destination!

Spectacular property and house. This is a real log cabin experience with modern conveniences.
The pictures don’t due this property justice. Many upgrades have been done since. This is a craftsman style cabin with intricate attention to detail. It was very comfortable for my family and literally 20 min to Many Glacier (inside park). It is the perfect retreat and the host was very accommodating.

This is an incredibly beautiful property! Views are amazing. very close to park entrances. Johnathon is a great guy who goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great vacation. Beds are very comfortable. Living room has amazing views. Hiking the property was just as much fun as hiking the trails at Glacier. Hot tub is great after a long day of fun. My family loved seeing the moose, bears, horses and deer on the property. Had a great family vacation. I highly recommend this property.
