We booked the Black Spur and immediately upon entry wondered why everyone had given it such good ratings, as it seemed very tired. But then it just kept getting better and better. The room was super comfy, warm (coldest weekend of the winter) and had everything we needed. The meals downstairs were INCREDIBLE. Tasty and so generous. And the lounge was super family-oriented with lots of little kids and families. Delightful.

When we arrived, I would have said the dated furnishings. But ultimately everything was super clean and really comfortable - look beyond your immediate impression.

Staff were very welcoming and lovely. Yummy food at the restaurant.

Bathroom in our room was 9/10 for cleanliness but that is all I can say. The rest was perfect!

Dirty water. Sewerage was smelly. Breakfast was lovely but waited one hour for meal .
