About this house rental
Situated in Lake Hartwell, this lovely house for $383 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Our family has been making Lake Hartwell memories at The Hicks House for 3 generations. We invite you to visit our family vacation home and stay awhile! The Hicks House is a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath home, but you will spend every waking minute outside. The flat, open lot has fabulous lake views and gorgeous sunsets. Everyone in your family will have an amazing trip. White City boat ramp is a great place to launch your boat at the end of Lakewood Lane just 2 min down the road. Our driveway is large enough for your boat trailer and parking for a full family of cars. You may park on the grass during dry times, but please be cautious not to damage the yard. There is space for 1 car inside the garage, but a remote control for the garage door is not available. No RVs or Campers allowed - see notes below. A long weekend kitchen supply of basics are provided: paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, and dishwasher liquid. There is also enough toilet paper for your long weekend. Both a Keurig and drip coffee machine are provided in the kitchen along with the usual dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven and refrigerator/freezer. There is a washer and dryer with a small supply of clothes detergent. A secondary refrigerator/freezer is located in the garage. Bed linens and bath towels are provided, but beach towels for the lake are not available. A pack & play is available for guests to use. Our dock is located in a great semi-open, deep water cove. Wake board, water ski, tube and fish right in front of the dock. The "double bridges" of SC Hwy 24 are visible, making it a quick 5 min boat ride to Portman Marina to enjoy a meal or gas up your boat. The walk down to the covered dock is a very slight incline that most can navigate easily. Our family boat remains inside the middle dock slip during summer months along with a jet ski platform on one side, as shown in the photos. Plenty of space remains for 2 large boats to tie up on each side of the dock. We have done it many times! Power is located on the dock. A water faucet can be found just before you walk onto the dock. Please bring your own life jackets, none are provided. Sitting on the back porch watching a sunset while the kids are playing in the yard is the best way to end a day on the lake. There is a ping pong table in the garage. Corn Hole, Ladders and Bocce are also available for an evening game in the yard. The Sunroom sofa converts to a Full Size pullout bed. We proudly partner with Lake Valet, LLC. A locally owned boat rental and delivery company. Lake Valet is available to stock the house with provisions ahead of your stay. https://www.lakevaletllc.com for details Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Check In: 4:00 pm EST Check Out: 10:00 am EST See reservation calendar for rates and night minimums. Minimum Renter Age: 23 Max Occupancy: 12 people at all times The Hicks House has an electronic Nest Lock on the front door. A code for your stay will be sent via email and active from your check in until check out times only. No Parties - our lake neighbors have been friends for many years. We ask that you keep noise to a respectful level. No Smoking ($500 cleaning fee will be charged) No Pets ($500 cleaning fee will be charged) Homeowner does not accept any liability for injury. Fishing Equipment should be kept inside the garage. Notes: All trash must be bagged and placed in the provided can outside of the garage. Any bags that do not fit inside the provided outdoor trashcan should be taken to the Waste Disposal facility located at 200 Echo Circle Anderson, SC 29625 (only 6 minutes away). If loose trash is found inside the can a $50 fee will be charged after the stay. RVs and Campers will not be allowed unless approved before booking. Only the provided propane grill should be used. Guests are responsible for providing propane. Visitors should NOT bring a charcoal grill to use. The provided grill should be used outside the garage with proper ventilation. Everything about this house is exceptional, super clean, comfortable beds, plenty of room and a great location. We had a fishing tournament and this house is close to Green Pond Landing. There is plenty of parking in the driveway for two boats.

This house was perfect for our weekend visit with our Clemson daughter. The host was super-responsive and accommodating, the house was equipped with everything we needed, and the lake view was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Perfect house for our 3 day weekend visiting our kids at Clemson, attending the game and visiting with old friends. The house was perfect and the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed a few chilly swims and gorgeous sunsets. We are all of our meals on the back porch by the lake. Owner communicated beautifully and we definitely hope to return for another long weekend next fall!

We rented this house for family weekend at Clemson. The house is roomy and right on the lake. A beautiful setting. The owner was awesome- very responsive to any question and flexible with check in/ out times. Would highly recommend!

We were visiting for a fishing tournament and the location was great, 10 minutes from Green Pond Landing Event Center. The house had everything we needed and more. Our kids jumped off the dock and swam everyday. If we have another Lake Hartwell tournament, we will try and stay here again!

We cannot say enough good things about this wonderful home and property directly on Lake Hartwell. The owners take great pride in their home and it shows. The home was very clean and welcoming and the view of the lake is just spectacular. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and look forward to coming back in the near future!

We were in town for my daughter’s softball tournament and decided to stay here. It’s a fabulous house located on Lake Hartwell and Loren was amazing to deal with. The neighborhood was great and there is plenty of grocery stores and food places nearby. We will definitely be going back.

Wonderful weekend getaway!
We really enjoyed a fabulous weekend with our adult kids at this lovely lakefront house! Loren is really responsive and quick to answer all questions. House is well stocked with anything you could think of and we had so much fun watching football, enjoying the lakefront view, playing games and just spending quality family time together. We had a wonderful family weekend together on this beautiful property! The house had everything you needed to cook and entertain including a gas grill. The AC worked great. The ping pong and corn hole were an added bonus. The quiet location on the lake was very peaceful. It's close to Clemson so not a far drive if you need to go to the store. The boat launch is conveniently near the house. We took a boat ride to the Local Pub and had a great dinner with beautiful views. Overall it was an amazing weekend and lots of memories made. Highly recommend this property.

This is a very nice, clean property in a great location on the lake! Loren was an excellent communicator and everything was as shown and as per the info she sent. We would definitely use this again. Others from the area who came to visit also asked about renting it. They were pleased with it too.

Property was exactly as listed, there were plenty of essentials to get us started for our week stay - TP, dish soap, Kcups, hand soap, etc. which was a huge help since we arrived late in the evening. The house was in great shape, neighbors were friendly, everything worked. Loren was great to communicate with. We caught quite a few fish off the dock (with night crawlers) sunfish, catfish, bluegill, bass & calico,. We rented a boat for two days but didn’t have any luck fishing off it with lures or trolling with lures. We could not believe how quiet this lakefront property was & the rest of the lake. The lake had more traffic on the weekend but it wasn’t bad at all. Back patio was great to sit on and enjoy a glass of bourbon when it wasn’t humid. The AC in this house is PHENOMENAL. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!
