We instantly fell in love with this beautiful stone house & have made it a welcoming family home.
It has always been our dream to own a house like this and to equip it with all of the luxuries that we would want from a holiday rental. We provide all bedding & towels to make your packing easy. You can simply arrive and settle in. We hope that you love it as much as we do.
Perfect at any time of year. Enjoy the pool, a bbq with friends and a chilled glass of wine as you watch the sun set on long Summer evenings. The house keeps cool thanks to the thick stone walls & traditional shutters.
Enjoy the heated pool in the Spring & Autumn, whilst admiring the changing colours on the surrounding vines.
We love cosy Winter evenings, playing some of the many available boardgames next to one of the two beautiful fire places and cooking up some lovely meals in the welcoming kitchen.
Whatever time of year you choose to visit, we are fully set up to make this an easy and relaxing holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a foodie would want to create meals from local produce, as well as a dishwasher and washing machine.
The house is spacious & perfect to host one, two or three families or a group of friends. It is flexible to allow for any number of options.
For children, there is a playroom on the mezzanine with lots of toys and books to keep them entertained, as well as a travel cot and high chairs. The swimming pool has an electric cover for security.
We can arrange delivery of wine for your arrival, a tour & wine tasting at the next door château, recommend vineyards, day trips, and offer advice on local attractions. St Emilion Golf course is only 4km away.
For an extra fee we can arrange mid-week cleaning with our lovely housekeeper.

We had the most wonderful stay at Gardegan! We were two families of four, and everything was exceptional. The house was beautiful and provided a welcome retreat during the unexpected May heatwave. The pool was impeccably maintained, spotlessly clean, and the perfect temperature—we could barely persuade the children to get out of it!The bedrooms were comfortable, and the newly renovated bathrooms were immaculate. The spacious kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the mezzanine playroom was a fantastic bonus, giving the children somewhere to play indoors during the hottest part of the day.The property is in a peaceful rural setting next to a wonderful vineyard, where one afternoon the owner gave us a warm welcome and arranged a fabulous picnic lunch overlooking the vines. Enjoying delicious food and local wine in such a beautiful setting was a real highlight of our trip.Elspeth was fantastic. She struck the perfect balance between being available and responsive without ever being intrusive. She organised a private chef for us one evening and arranged for wine from the neighbouring vineyard to be delivered on the day we arrived, both of which was much appreciated!We would return in a heartbeat!

The villa was perfect and Wllie made the whole process so easy. She gave us so much information about the villa and surrounding area and even arranged for a local chateaux to deliver some bottles of their wine. I would highly recommend this villa.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Felt very remote, but only short drives to all of our destinations. Unexpected cold nights allowed for nice fires in the evening!
