Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo

We had a wonderful stay at Sudamala Resort during our honeymoon. The resort is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and feels like a very special place to stay in Labuan Bajo. What really made the experience stand out for us was the the flexibility of the hotel staff and the will to accommodate us. Whenever we had an issue, we could easily discuss it with the hotel and it was always solved. Additionally, everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and helpful, and they were always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. We especially appreciated Dev and Erick, who helped us with our local trips and showed us some hidden gems around Labuan Bajo and Erlin always sunny and welcoming. Their recommendations and help made it possible for us to experience places we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. The food was amazing as well, although we found the prices quite high compared with what you would normally pay elsewhere on the island. That said, the quality was very good. Overall, this was honestly one of the best 5-star hotel experiences we’ve had. The combination of the beautiful resort, amazing food and the attitude of the staff made our honeymoon stay truly memorable. Thank you to the whole Sudamala team for making our stay so special. We would definitely love to come back! ❤️

High prices for everything (food, spa, drinks etc) compared to what you can get outside the hotel. Incredibly big difference.

This hotel is one of my favourite hotels, not just in Indonesia, but in the world! The hotel rooms, restaurant, facilities and grounds are beautiful and pristine - staff constantly cleaning and tidying! The hospitality from ALL staff in this resort is second to none - I have never felt so welcome coming to a hotel - just constant smiles and hello's from every staff member you pass... they cannot do enough for you! The attention to detail in this hotel is mind-blowing - its obvious from the moment you walk in that management keep this hotel at an exceptional level, and that they care about your experience during your stay. Special shoutout to the reception staff who greeted me and my partner with such warmth on my return... and to the bar/restaurant/pool staff, who constantly made us believe that this hotel is home. Thank you! :D

What didn't I like about the hotel?... Having to leave it!! :(

Nothing

I got a touch of 'Bali Belly' and so spent two days in bed... so when I say the beds are supremely comfortable, I know what Im talking about! Also, the included breakfast is one of the best I have had. Cleanliness, quiteness and safety are also very good. Finally your room has a fridge! I met a friend who is a type one diabetic, and so needs to keep her insulin refrigerated... she said finding a place that has in-room fridges in LB is surprisingly difficult.

The location is 'out of town'. Also, it is expensive. I have visited a number of different hotels here and this is one of the few on the 'luxury' end so you are paying for what you get. Finally, and this is nit picking, the chairs on the veranda are not overly comfortable... they look good, but yeah, no.
