The place has lots of character, pity it has not had a refresh in along time to make it more appealing.
Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable but very poor lighting, few lamps would help.
Staff is very pleasant and helpful
Bathrooms need an upgrade, almost no light.

Good re-imagination of the old Fort. Big trees in the yard. Great view from the tower. Good food. Friendly people. Ernest is the perfect guide for a drive into the Hoanib river bed and visiting the desert elephants. We did this in our own car.

Das Ambiente des alten Forts.
Der Gamedrive zu den Wüstenelefanten.
Wir waren innerhalb eines Jahres 2 x dort.
Beim 1. Mal ist das Essen durchgefallen. Diesesmal gab es nichts auszusetzen - es war sehr gut und ausreichend.
Zu teuer.
Die Zufahrt zum Fort unscheinbar, unübersichtlich - Augenscheinlich vernachlässigt.

Nice pool although sand needs to be removed!
The staff sang after dinner which was great however collection pot for money afterwards… was put on tables -not so nice.
Our truck was washed off from all the dust. Tipped accordingly.
Exoensive for a 3 star (at most) hotel.
$300 Canadian for the room (dinner/breakfast included), seems excessive fir the area in Namibia.
Very very slow draining shower:tub…
