About this cottage rental

Nestled in Beaufort, this charming cottage for $190 per night is a great option for your next break. Cute cottage on Moore Street in the Historic District of Beaufort located directly across the street from Homer Smith Docks and Marina. Such a quiet and charming location for you to relax. View Town Creek and Newport River from the front porch. Walk 3 1/2 blocks to Front Street and view the ponies on Taylor's Creek. Everything Beaufort has to offer in the Historic and Restaurant District is within short walking distances. There are several businesses that rent kayaks close by. There are also inexpensive ferry boat rides to Cape Lookout and Bird Shoals. Finally, I am a USCG licensed Captain, and am certified to take paying passengers on charters on my boat(s). However, I highly recommend the inexpensive ferry boat rides that depart from downtown Beaufort, unless you have a specific reason in mind… The cottage has new paint and carpet throughout, with plenty of brand-new beds and furniture. On the other hand, it's quite quaint with some beautiful antique furniture, artwork by true local artists, Core Banks seashells scattered throughout, and if you look closely enough you will smile if you notice a few of the front rooms that aren't as perfectly square as they were intended to be. In addition to the three bedrooms and two baths, you'll find a nice large living room with two couches with cable TV and Internet. Cook in the kitchen if you like, you'll find everything you need. There's also a back porch for grilling and your own back yard with a small fire-pit with plenty of oak to burn. There is plenty of parking.

Craig is a wonderful host -friendly and great recommendations! Cottage is cute and clean! We had 4 adults and two infants and it was very spacious, we enjoyed sitting out front and being able to walk to Beaufort waterfront (half mile walk). House had everything we needed and Craig was very responsive. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Our 3 day stay at Gull Cottage was just what we were hoping. It was in a quiet area and was very clean and comfortable. The distance to the waterfront for dining or to catch the ferry is very walkable. Check in and check out was easy and our host was very welcoming and provided a lot of helpful information. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. Was a short walk to museums, restaurants, and sight seeing. Central to many things to do in the surrounding area. Craig was very kind, and even shared some local fare with us!
