About this house rental
Situated in Somers, this charming house for $407 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Located in the heart of idyllic Somers on the Mornington Peninsular, with some views to Phillip Island. This location gives you access with a very short walk across the road to Somers beach, yacht club, general store and close proximity to surfing beaches and many excellent golf courses. The house features open plan living dining with partial views through the banksias to Somers coastal reserve. The huge pool is solar heated in summer with gas heating available for shoulder seasons only (extra fee on request). The pool is heated to 30C which is really warm. The cost is $50 per day for this heating. Please inform me a week before your booking arrival if you need the heating on as I might not be able to make it to the property for late requests. The heating will operate between 7am - 5pm and depending on the weather will take 1-4 hours to heat in the morning and then after 5pm will reamina warm for several hours as well. Master bedroom is upstairs with 2 bedrooms downstairs. One of these bedrooms is made up of bunk beds that sleep 4. Two separate living areas. 1.5 bathrooms are extended with a heated outdoor rainwater shower area. Easy dining with small but well appointed kitchen with Gaggenau oven, Nespresso coffee machine and Dishwasher. Weber BBQ on the ocean deck or Gas BBQ area at the back for outdoor entertaining. The house can accommodate 6 people. The house has satellite WIFI, we ask that you download shows prior to coming to the property so you are not disappointed. Hot spotting will work if you have issues. Enjoy the best of the Peninsular, wine and dine out with the Mornington Peninsula's best dining at Point Leo Estate and Rare Hare Restaurant (Jackalope vineyard) both only 10 minutes away. Please be aware that the Mornington shire has strict guidelines that effect holiday rentals. These include restricting who can stay and the behavior of guests while occupying holiday rentals. Our stay was disappointing due to several issues. The dishes and cutlery were dirty, including the white plates which required washing from scratch and stains over most of the cutlery. Additionally, we found bed sheet downstairs with yellow stains that seemed recent with a bad odour, and none of the outdoor chairs were clean, all chairs in the outdoor area were very dirty and dusty. Some of the towels provided were hand sized towels. Furthermore, the pool, which was supposed to be heated and for which I paid extra, was cold and not warm.

Our group of 4 x 50+ friends loved our stay at this property, the pool and garden was delightful, and it was relaxing listening to the birds.
We were surprised at the request of stripping the bed linen before we left, which would be fine if staying at a friend's home, rather than paying accommodation.
This is the only reason why we gave the property 4 stars.

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this great property, with our 2 adult children and their partners.
The house is well equipped and thoughtfully decorated.
The garden is amazing and a great place to hang out, as well as the awesome pool.
Margaret was very helpful and responsive to our questions.
The only issue for us coming back would be that the front gate did not close and our dog could wander off the property. This may not bother everyone but could be a problem for people with pets.
P.S our dog had a great time, and we managed to block the gate with our car.

We stayed for three nights at Ocean View Crescent. The house is highly functional, chic and relaxing. The grandchildren aged from 4-13 had so much fun in the heated pool with bouts of table tennis in between. Mother and grandmother enjoyed much of the same and really loved the bird song and nature walks down to the beach as well. Another big plus is the short stroll to the Somers General Store. All in all a wonderful experience. Recommend 100 per cent!

We had such a nice time. We didn’t hardly leave the house as it was so lovely and relaxing. Beds are super comfy too. We opted to heat the swimming pool and spent most of our time in the pool. The house has everything that you could possible want for a holiday. I highly recommend and we will hopefully be back soon.

Our family group had a lovely stay here. The location is fabulous with the Sommers General Store and Beach so close (walking distance). The weather was on our side to enjoy the stunning pool and enjoyed the local resident kookaburras visiting us to say hello poolside.
The house is well equipped with added extras - Thank you so much for the attention to detail!
Overall a highly recommended place to stay and enjoy exploring the local region for a large family or friends.

We were a group of 5 mums and had such a fabulous 2 night stay at Margaret’s house. The house was well stocked with plenty of space for all of us and we enjoyed the garden especially the stunning pool. Such a great location as well as we walked down each morning to the General Store for a delicious breakfast. We hope to return soon for another relaxing stay.

Although our holiday didn't turn out quite as we had hoped, the property was nice and as described. The owner Margaret is fantastic to deal with and super quick to respond to any concerns or questions. This home is always beautifully presented and so ready for us to de-stress and holiday. We've been several times now throughout the year. The kids spend hours in the pool and the yard is gorgeous. It's perfect for two families and we've made many wonderful meals and sat around the firepit. The neighbourhood's lovely to wander through and the beach 1min away is both family friendly but also has sections of rockpools that keep us and the dog very happy.

The house is definitely on the smaller side for 4 adults and a child, however the pool and outdoor area is amazing. Love that we could bring our french bulldog along with us, however do note the property is not completely fenced, this would be been useful. Overall amazing spot with an amazing pool.

We swam in the pool in July! It was heated warm (make sure to check with the manager to make sure its turned on for your stay). The house was clean and comfortable, the heater was enough to warm the main living upstairs, downstairs rooms were a little chilly in winter. Only negatives, there was no block out blinds upstairs, and the main shower didn't drain properly so there was a constant wet floor. Would still happily stay again :)

Once again we had an amazing stay on this glorious property. Somers turned the weather on for the week so we enjoyed the pool and proximity to the beach. The house is extremely well appointed with the addition of a very comfortable couch and some kitchen gadgets to add to the already well stocked kitchen. One of my favourite summer holidays I’ve had. Looking forward to returning next year!
