OUR BEAUTIFUL CONDO UNIT: Speaking of views, how about grabbing your favourite refreshment and sitting out on your own private balcony to enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets this side of Heaven? As you browse through the photos of our listing, you'll come across a floor plan of our condo, so you can get a good idea of its layout. It's a 2 bedroom unit with 2 full baths representing a split-plan with generous living and dining areas and a well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen has been completely remodelled in recent years and boasts upgraded, name-brand appliances with wood cabinets and beautiful countertops. It also has brand new cookware, utensils and dishes to accommodate any need. Care to stay in and do some mile-high cooking one evening? Got you covered! All you need are the groceries, and there are two very nice grocery stores within a 10-minute drive in either direction. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY We do care about health and safety of our guests and tend to be eco-friendly when it comes to cleaning to avoid any causes of allergy. LAUNDRY: Either you are staying for a day, a week or more, for your convenience unit is equipped with a private washer and dryer. Ours is a Maytag stacked unit and is located in the hall closet. We also supply a couple of complementary single-load, all natural laundry detergent packets. For backup, you're also just a few steps away from the 9th floor laundry facilities. The trash chute is also just a few steps away, right next to the laundry room. BEDS, BATHS, AND WAY BEYOND: Your comfort is our goal, so we've gone the extra mile to help you get a good night's sleep. Our master suite boasts a huge, king-sized bed that's topped with luxurious organic linens and a variety of hypoallergenic, down-alternative pillows in your choice of "soft, medium or firm" comfort. Our guest bedroom offers the same bedding, but in twin sizes. For your viewing pleasure, a 40-inch "Smart TV" is provided in the master suite and a 32-inch "Smart TV" is provided in the guest suite. Both bedrooms have closets, dressers, nightstands and large windows that allow you to take in those wonderful mountain views! And on the 9th floor, you won't need to draw the blinds for "privacy". Not an issue here (perhaps just for sleeping in)! The bathrooms are convenient to each bedroom and have everything you need to help freshen up or wind down. We provide an initial personal supply of organic soaps, shampoos and lotions, as well as plush towels that are sure to enhance your bath experience. When ready to hit the pool, hot tub, sauna, or steam room, you'll find a supply of over-sized Spa towels in the laundry closet. MISC: For your convenience, you'll find an iron and ironing board in the guest bedroom closet. A hair dryer can be found in the master bath lavatory cabinet. *Videos come by way of FREE NETFLIX which gives you an endless supply of movies, documentaries and programs to watch commercial-free (instructions in the unit). 50 music channels are also included. This provides more choices and convenience for our guests. For those occasional warm summer days we provide ceiling fans in each room. (Air conditioning systems are generally unnecessary, and a rare find in our higher, cooler elevations.) We appreciate safety standarts and comfort of our every guest so that we have a team of professional housekeepers to perform a thorough cleaning and restock items after every stay. *Great Rates: Nightly rates are for DOUBLE occupancy. Each additional guest is $25.00 per night. We offer discounts for over 7 day stays. THE CITADEL: Just so you are aware, our condo is in the slightly newer Citadel Tower wing. This places it close to the public laundry facilities and trash chute (very convenient) and in a quieter environment. When you exit the main elevator on the 9th floor, you'll turn right and walk to the end of the corridor, then continue on through the door marked "Citadel". Make lasting memories! As such, the upper level parking is prioritized for the owners, with guest parking based on availability. During busier times, guests may be directed to one of the lower lots to park. In this case, Sugartop has a shuttle service to quickly whisk you back and forth and give you curb service. Staff are always prompt, courteous and available 24/7. (Busy times can be some weekends, holidays, and summer months when seasonal residents arrive.) When this occurs, guests can always load and unload at the main entrance, and call ahead to the desk to have a shuttle waiting for their departure. Condo is perfect for singles, couples, or families with children over 16! Number of guests enforced and verified! THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA: Looking for things to do on your next vacation? There's also a wide variety of shops and dining establishments to explore... You'll also find numerous attractions such as Grandfather Mountain, the original Mast General Store, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, Blowing Rock, and many more. And remember to pack a lunch if you'd like to stop by one of our pretty parks or picnic areas along the way... Many mountain towns tend to slow down in the wintertime - but not us! We are the best snow skiing destination in the south, with a variety of venues and slopes to challenge you. You'll find everything from skiing, to snowboarding, to tubing, to snow-shoeing. And there's no shortage of instructors, equipment rentals, events and activities. And as a bonus for OUR guests, you'll be able to look right down on Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and watch all of the activity right from your balcony or window. (They even offer a "courtesy coach" to our building.) You'll also find several of our attractions to be open year-round.
