About this house rental
Located in Kiawah Island, this charming house for $797 per night is a great choice for your next break. This Lowcountry-style home at 18 Flyway Drive, nestled into pristine, verdant landscaping, occupies an enviable position between a wide pond and Kiawah’s immaculate ten-mile beach. Beach access is just two blocks away on Jackstay Ct, there is also an outdoor shower under the back stairs to rinse off after a long day of playing on the sand. A wide front porch greets visitors and invites them to step through the mahogany front door flanked with sidelights. Inside, the interior is light and airy, with high shiplap ceilings, hardwood floors throughout the main living spaces, and lovely white trim. The dining room, to the right of the foyer, has a table that will seat 8 guests. It opens to the living room, with its walls of windows and glass doors leading to the sundeck and framing the lush water views. The adjacent open kitchen streams with natural light from windows on two sides and a skylight. The stove hood matches the white Shaker-style cabinetry, and there’s an expansive, furniture-inspired island with a gorgeous stone countertop, prep sink, and built-in shelves for cookbooks. The appliances, including a bottom-freezer refrigerator and wide-basin sink, are stainless steel, and the backsplash of pale subway tile above the Wolf® gas range makes cleanup after a big family meal a breeze. A pantry offers extra storage space, and a wine cooler keeps libations at the ready. Four seats at the kitchen counter are a great spot for the kids to grab a snack or have breakfast. . The main-level master suite offers private access to the sundeck and pond views through a large set of windows—and its spa-like master bath takes the breath away. A freestanding zinc bathtub, framed against a wall of nearly floor-to-ceiling windows, is the centerpiece. There are his-and-hers vanities with white cabinetry and pale marble countertops, pale herringbone tile, and a generously sized walk-in shower. A comfortable king bed and a desk/chair for working remotely completes the room. Also on the first floor is a small office space with a bunk set (full on bottom, twin on top) for working remotely and/or for extra guests. Upstairs, beneath angled ceilings and dormer window seats, is an extra sitting area. The bedroom suites are spacious and bright, featuring pond views; two offer access to private balconies. There is a second king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with two twin beds. When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required. As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access;. Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. No smoking and no pets allowed. Upon booking you will be sent a rental agreement to review and complete online. Your booking is not confirmed until this document has been submitted. We had a lovely stay in this house as a group of 8 adults. The house is beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked and the location is terrific. During our stay, we rented a pontoon boat from Bohicket Boat Rentals and had a great time seeing dolphins and cruising the marsh areas around Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. One thing to note is that if you are staying with young children and plan to walk or bike to the beach, you should know that there is a small section of Flyway that you will need to walk/ride along that does not have a sidewalk or bike bath alongside.

We loved the house and our time there, it was wonderful for two families with college-aged 'kids'. The spacious and open first floor provided plenty of room for everyone to be together (cooking, reading, watching tv, working, playing games) without being on top of each other. The decor is lovely. The back deck overlooking the river/marsh was a beautiful spot to relax. We loved the location, in a quieter area with lovely homes, within easy walking/bike-riding distance to the beach. The house was very well-equipped, the only odd/frustrating exception being that there were no beach towels available (we were told this relates to the laundry service Covid requirements and that we could buy or bring towels, neither of which was a sensible option to us). We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend the house.

House was outstanding - lots of space, lots of amenities [stocked kitchen, bikes, etc], an excellent lot [beautiful landscaping w excellent porches]... however, we were not permitted to use the gas fireplace [on chilly mornings this would have been the best] and the [only] queen bed is getting old [folks tend to slide to the center]... no regrets

We have vacationed in Kiawah before (been several years ago now) and our kids always loved it. Now they are grown with a husband and finance and we decided to return after celebrating our youngest's college graduation from Charleston. The home is beautiful! It is uniquely and well-built; a true custom with lots of custom features (beautiful millwork). It is decorated with love and attention. It was true to the listing in those regards, as was the well-stocked kitchen (everything you need and more, more, more). However, it was not clean! Not even close! I think the cleaning service may have changed sheets and brought in towels and that was probably it. The kitchen floor has not been mopped in a very long time. And, the kitchen stove was filthy-again, not been cleaned in a very long time. The kitchen has many many gorgeous sets of dishes, serving ware, trays, pots, pans, etc, etc, etc. but it's everywhere. It's almost too much or it should be in labeled cabinets and drawers so that renters can return items to their proper place. The main living room furniture, although very high-end and beautiful, is very worn. The carpets were in need of a good vacuum. Overall I think this house is amazing. It is just in need of a deep clean, a deep purge, and some serious organization. The house is in a great location with easy beach access. We enjoyed the quiet beach, and bike riding daily. Thanks for the beach credit with Vayk Gear. The bikes and beach cart were great. We were able to easily rent beach umbrellas and chairs from Beach Gear Rentals which drove by on the beach daily. I will add that the property management was not friendly nor responsive prior to or during our trip.

Absolutely amazing home with wonderful accommodations! We had never been to Kiawah and were not quite sure what to expect, however we are completely in love!!!! This particular home exceeded our expectations - the decor was fabulous, the house is quite large and stunning. Fantastic views of the channel with several sitings of alligators! Great outdoor seating areas as well as great indoor seating areas for multiple conversations. The kitchen is absolutely stunning and while we did enjoy several nearby restaurants we also enjoyed cooking in this professional kitchen. The bedrooms are very accommodating and in particular, the master suite is outstanding.
All in all, we were very pleased with our stay. We were able to hit the beach for half a day, visit Charleston twice, spent some time at Freshfields and enjoy some quality family time.

We had a wonderful family beach vacation at 18 Flyway. The house is absolutely gorgeous, yet casual enough to feel perfectly relaxed in. We had eight adults and one young child and were very comfortable. The main floor is very open, creating plenty of space to gather together. We got a lot of the beach gear we needed with a credit that came with the house rental, so that made enjoying the beach even better. We also had bikes that we used to access the beach quickly. It was a ten minute bike ride to the beach and 20 minute walk there.

Beautiful!
We had an amazing stay over the Christmas holiday. The home is nicely decorated, very warm and relaxing, with a well-stocked kitchen. This is a perfect home for a family holiday getaway. Short bike ride, or walk, to the beach made for perfect outings on a sunny December day!
