WHAT’S NEARBY This home is located in the quaint town of York Beach, where there are plenty of restaurants and local shops close by! Here, you are a very short walk from downtown York Beach. Short Sands is two blocks away where you can put your toes in the sand or enjoy many local activities and attractions including York’s Wild Kingdom zoo and amusement park. Other nearby activities include the Nubble Lighthouse, Perkins Cove, Kittery Outlets, Mt. Agamenticus, fishing, hiking, bowling, arcade, and much more. THINGS TO KNOW There is an access ramp available. All four bedrooms are located on the second floor and are accessible by stairs. There is only a sofa bed on the first floor. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The Victorian house turned out to be an excellent property for our group of ten. The house is older and shows some wear, but this lends to the homey feel of this classic Maine Victorian property. Located in a tight residential setting, the house has four bedrooms upstairs and potential additional sleeping areas in the first floor common areas. There are two full baths; we had no problems with hot water supply, and the house comfortably fit our group. This is a quiet neighborhood, and a very short walk to the beach and small town center. I recommend this property for your visit to the southern Maine coastline.

this is our 2nd year staying here. We love the location and the old victorian house. I am a little disapointed at the way the House was left for us. I didn't like the stained shower curtain liners, they should of been washed or changed. We realized there was a sugar ant problem in the kitchen and the kitchen light over the sink didn't work. We still had great weather and a good time.

The property was exactly as advertised. Unfortunately dealing with the third-party non-local property management is difficult if an issue is beyond the booking and cleaning. The grass was extremely high when we checked in and we notified the management immediately and multiple times. It took five days, and the lovely neighbors across the street contacting the owner before the grass was cut. The yard was one of the reasons we booked this property since our young grandchildren were with us. The owner felt bad and took care of it immediately, not sure where the communication breakdown was.

I love that the kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, giving the option to stay in and cook your own meals. Downstairs is open and spacious with a handicap accessible bathroom. So close to town, and the ocean. Games and puzzles for rainy days added a special touch. Very much enjoyed the stay!! Would definitely recommend!!

Location of the house is close to the beach and shopping area and a nice quiet street. The house needs some updating and is lacking in what I would expect from a rental. Many of the amenities listed as being available (ie hairdryer) were not and those that I asked beforehand if were provided (grill, beach chairs) and was told no, in fact were. So be prepared. House is a good size but musty and shower curtains lined with mold. We weren’t inside much and appreciated the location but likely wouldn’t stay again.

We had a great time and the house was very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and Short Sands Beach was an easy 5 minute walk from the house. The house was furnished beautifully and the woodwork was beautiful throughout. We will definitely be returning next summer!

The ramp was perfect for my mom who has a hard time walking and cannot climb stairs. Plenty of room to spread out as well. Donna - the local manager - was so nice and helpful!

Loved this house. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Nice size bedrooms with comfortable beds. I really loved the interior with the original woodwork and hardware. The location is perfect with a short walk to shops and the beach. A lovely Victorian house that brought back memories of my great grandmother’s house. Would definitely stay here again.

Home was nice, as pictured and in a great location, but, needing to deal with a third party manager resulted in not getting answers to questions regarding linens, recommended restaurants, etc. Thankfully, property included linens, we had a bad experience with that before and just wanted to be sure. Dealing with third party also meant zero flexibility on late (4pm) check-in or early check-out (10am). Being the house was not taken the days before, they could have offered some flexibility. House was nice but the biggest issue was that there were zero blankets available. Just sheets and bedspread when it was fairly cold at night. The other thing we found lacking was just the typical "homey" touch, a thank you packet with maybe info about the area, things to do, places to go, good restaurants, etc. There was nothing. At the end of the day, it was a good stay, but we both feel it could have been a lot better with just a few improvements. Thank you
