Amazing location and rooms

Loved everything about this Inn. Beachside location ideal and in room facilities far exceeded expectations including beautiful selection of tea and coffee. We arrived very late and left early so didn't have breakfast.

This is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Bu beaware, you may not get the exact room you booked on Booking.com. Ours was wonderful and comparable but less accessible as on a higher floor with extra steps for managing luggage. I wasn't expecting this so had not specifically mentioned needing as few steps as possible. Host told me room I had booked had actually already been booked months previously so I was never going to get that exact room although room number was on my booking confirmation and there is a map of the room layout on the website so you can see which room you book. I mention here as advice to others but also want to make very clear the room we did get was really beautiful so issue was accessibility rather than any flaw with the room.

Very nice!

The view was wonderful! Staff was great.

Our Room was #1 and the fan from the store was annoying. Trucks dropping off not relaxing. The bass needs to be turned down from the restaurant music too loud for your guests.

We were at the beach without having to go to the beach.

The view of the ocean just across the street. Balcony with screen door. Listening to the waves at night as we fell asleep.

A microwave would have been nice.

Location was great, people were lovely. Would love to come in summer!

TV was difficult to work and building is very loud-every sound amplified, difficult to sleep in.

Weekend Getaway

Loved the location! Great view of the ocean from the balcony and loved the restaurant below. No parking hassles, easy to get to, and clean room. Bathroom was on the smaller side but doesn’t matter much when you’re barely in the room. Can’t wait to go back again!

the stay was amazing and exactly what we needed. the weather was beautiful. We plan on staying here again.

The location was great. it’s clean and updated. the restaurant is cool and the people are wonderful. sunrise and sunset are amazing.

Exceptional

We love staying at Stones Thrown whether in the high season of the summer or in the early fall right before they close. We call this place our home away from home. It sits right across the beach and is a short walk to another beach, Short Sands. The restaurant is absolutely delicious and every who works their is gracious. I would suggest if you are a light sleeper, this place may not be for you or if you have trouble with stairs.

Awesome, exactly what I needed. Will return again next year hopefully for a longer period of time

Across from the beach....location...location location. Employees were very helpful, room was clean and bright. I would return in a heartbeat.

Parking was a bit stressful, but other than that they were very accommodating. Restaurant wasn't open but that is due to shortage of staffing in the whole area not their fault.

Wonderful room on the beach

Across from the beach. Room was simple but comfortable, clean and nicely done. Chairs outside the room with partial view of beach. Seating on the decks when restaurant is closed.

Restaurant was closed the night we were there, which would have been nice to know ahead of booking but on the plus side the seating shown in the pictures are only available to guest when the restaurant is closed. Also had problems with cell and Internet connection the days prior to my arrival so I was freaking out that I would not get my code for my room, but later learned they have someone in an office from 9 to 9, would have been nice to know - if provided on their website I certainly missed it. Lastly, I dislike the dry creamer/sugar provided by many hotels, half and half would be so much better.

Exceptional

I had a great time staying at the Stones Throw. The room was so cute, the location perfect, close to everything! The check in and check out was great too! Plan on staying here again next time I visit York Beach.

Loved York Beach and watching the surfers!

The location opposite the Atlantic Ocean is unparalleled.

No body warned me about multiple layers of STAIRS! The bathroom was tiny. HVAC did not work.

Great location with some drawbacks.

Location was great; beach right across the street. Liked the communal decks at the front of our building where one could admire the view. Also liked that you could open a window in the room.

Since everything was contactless, information about the amenities (for example, ice) was non-existent. A phone call shortly after 9:00 AM to the front desk was not answered. For someone who had never stayed here before, I found that off-putting. In addition, there were exactly two cups in the room so after having two drinks of any kind, we were out of luck. By chance someone was cleaning the room next door the following morning, so I did ask her for some which she happily gave me.

Parking within the premises was just right. The AC in the room worked fine. The nautical/ industrial decor was perfect.

The bathroom could use a proper shower head and a liner to avoid water throughout the bathroom floor.
