Located in South Thomaston, this charming house for $250 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This conveniently located home is 1.5 miles from downtown Rockland and all the local festivals. It is a short drive to Camden & Thomaston and only minutes to the Farnsworth Art Museum & Transportation Museum . Centrally located, about 1.5 hours from both Portland and Bangor and only 2 hours from Acadia National Park. Local amenities include, beaches, scenic hiking trails, light houses, lakes, golf, skiing, art galleries, and of course lobsters. The house features a large back yard and a fenced in area for pets. The ocean facing deck provides amazing views of Penobscot bay. The house has great natural lighting and the main floor contains all three bedrooms, the bathroom, living room, and the kitchen/dining room. The washer and dryer are located in the unfinished basement. The living room has great views of the harbor through the large bay window. It has a 55-inch 4k smart tv with a Roku and Disney Plus included. The master bedroom has a king size Casper mattress with a 43-inch 4k smart tv with Roku and Disney Plus. Both the second and third bedrooms have queen size beds. The laundry is in the unfinished basement and require going down a somewhat steep set of stairs to get to. High Speed (50mbs) Internet is available throughout the house.

Clean, comfortable family home in a peaceful neighborhood. Beautiful view and close to everything we wanted to see - McLoon's, Rockland, fairs, shopping, and children's museums. Great mattresses, kitchen and living amenities, and loved the fenced in yard for pets and kids though we didn't have to use it. We would be happy to stay here again!

Great spot to use while visiting Camden and Rockland, plus easy access to Marshall Point, Permaquid and of course the Owls Head Light. Recommend Owls Head General store for meals and basic provisions.

Was traveling to a running race cancelled by hurricane Lee When it was cancelled, even though late I thought I could get back sales tax and cleaning fees. No more VRBO for us.

I booked this cottage because it was outside of the busy towns and we could all enjoy our own bedroom. Owls Head is quaint and the sea view was nice. The rental had everything we needed for the short stay. The negative is that there was a large tree on the side of the rental that had been recently taken down. Upon arrival, it was a messy sight. Worse yet, the pickup of the tree debris came just after 6am the next morning. This didn’t afford sleeping in. I was also surprised at the level of LOUD road noise that started early. FYI: There is a small plot of graves that border the house, but not in photos. There was also a strong “basement smell” (musty?) when you first entered the property at the kitchen but it grew less noticeable the longer you were inside. There was a giant tv for movie watching. The furniture was different than pictured, but still comfortable. The rental could have been prepped a bit better before our arrival. For example, the outside porch needed to be cleaned as it was covered with leaves/debri and furniture not easily usable.. A few more options for the Keurig would have also been nice, and perhaps a few tea bag options. There is a decent “to-do” list for checkout. In the end, I did not feel like the total fee payed for the rental met my expectations.

We really enjoyed our stay, very comfortable. House was clean and well stocked for our needs. Easy location to shops, galleries, and restaurants in Rockland. Highly recommend McLoons Lobster Shack on Spruce Head Island. We also made day trips to Boothbay Harbor and Pemaquoid Pt Lighthouse.

This was a great overnight stop for three older women who all wanted their own bedroom. We weren't there long but drove a short ways into town for a light dinner and left the next morning after breakfast. View to the ocean was a bonus watching the fog lift and kayaks.

This house is very well outfitted with almost everything you could need. Even firewood. For those who need/want internet, it works very good too. I mention almost everything because we were there during a heat wave and being that there isn’t AC (like most the houses in Maine) the house was very warm when we arrived and there was no fan to help. With all the windows open, it still took until sometime after midnight to get to just 75. The house is well insulated. However, the basement with the washer/dryer was very cold so that was an incentive to catch up on our laundry :) Overall, it’s a great place to stay when it’s not 90 degrees outside. I would return without hesitation.

We were only here a short while. But the location was good and everything we needed was there. Would love to have more blankets available for use. Like another reviewer mentioned it is right by a cemetery. You can see the water from the house, but it is private property so you can not go down to the waters edge. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property!

We are return guests at this well appointed house. We appreciate the cleanliness and ease of stay at this property. Well stocked and amazingly comfortable beds, you can’t go wrong. My friend and I enjoyed our stay at Jason's home with view of Penobscot Bay! Quiet area and convenient location for us to explore Rockland, Camden and Acadia Natl Park. Enough to do locally on a couple of rainy days. House was very clean and well stocked. Seafood at Claws yummy!

I chose Jason's property in Owl's Head, near my cousin's home in Rockland, because of the water and the dog run. (I intended to bring my dog, but I couldn't get him from Chicago to NY, where my siblings live.) The house is everything and more than we expected: fully equipped kitchen with Bosch dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker with pods, every utensil for cooking; linens for kitchen and bathrooms; large tv screen with Disney Plus, etc. The place is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The deck has extensive setting, table with umbrella and 2 grills: gas and charcoal. The charcoal is provided. A lovely touch is a pair of binoculars to use to watch the Bay. Kudos to Jason from three senior citizens!

The house was very nice. Good view of the ocean. Nice deck. Comfortable bed. Stocked kitchen, even had a blender. The addition of having the driveway plowed and walk shoveled when we did get snow was just icing on the cake. We were able to rest and not be bothered by highway noise or loud neighbors. Thanks for the trip.
