This beautiful custom cabin is nestled in the trees in the Terry Peak area not far from the Stewart Lodge at the base of Terry Peak! It's in the heart of the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor, with ATV/snowmobile trails nearby, great skiing just up the hill, great gambling and restaurants in Deadwood only 15 minutes away and the rim-rock canyon walls and waterfalls of Spearfish Canyon only 10 minutes from the cabin. You can be riding your ATV, skiing, hiking, fishing for trout, rock climbing, or enjoying a leisurely cruise through the hills all within minutes. Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park and Sylvan Lake are all within an hour's drive from the cabin for those wanting to see some main attractions as well! Lost Camp was the perfect cabin for a peak Aspen color weekend in the Black Hills! Wonderful views from very window. The cabin had everything we needed. The interior is wide open and beautiful! We are definitely coming back!

It was a great place for a weekend away! The house was set up nicely. We had plenty of room and everything we needed. Very nice property!

Great house and view! My biggest complaint is with the management company. They won’t give you the code to get in until the day before (fine I understand) but when they send you the code they want more paperwork first. You have to download a docusign and send a picture of your drivers license. Normally not a big deal but we were traveling and had very limited cell service. Very frustrating! I don’t understand why this was not done in the very beginning of the process. At first glance the house looked clean but not really. Dirty dishes and trash in the yard. When we were leaving I checked under the bed to make sure we had everything and found a half eaten loaf of French bread. Great house! Poor management!

Our stay was a great time. Best snow in years. But the lodging was not as favorable as last year. - There had’t been any improvements or upgrades since last year. - (2) of the kitchen chairs were broken. - The bathrooms were not as clean. - We ran out of toilet paper and trash bags. - The Wi-Fi hot spot was very poor. (Couldn’t use a/c slow speed)- Hugh difference in temperature from basement to loft for sleeping. - Loud party next door all weekend -

I'd highly recommend Lost Camp Lodge. The house had plenty of room for our two families, was very clean, modern, and well stocked. The views out the back are great and it's very close to Terry Peak. So close that we went back to eat at the house over lunch rather than eating at Terry Peak.

This rustic looking home was perfect for our cousin reunion with 9 women who loved the 4.5 bathrooms. There were private sleeping areas for all and then the spacious, yet cozy main floor for gathering to eat, play games, and visit. Decorated cute with lots of warm blankets/throws. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and had a good supply of towels and also laundry and dishwasher soap supplied. We used the fireplace, hot tub, and wifi daily. We had a great stay and would stay again.
I do want to note that the outdoor garbage cans were already full upon arrival and some garbage scattered in area. Local pickup is likely on a limited schedule, maybe more trash cans?

We had a great weekend at this property. The space was perfect for us. The location was close to Deadwood/Lead for activities in town. And close enough to find nice hiking trails in Spearfish Canyon. The only thing that was disappointing was the cleanliness of the property. The bathrooms were not very clean. Toilet bowls were grimy and all the shower curtains had pink mold on the bottom of them. Bedding in the rooms had stains and hair on them. Mostly on the comforters, there were a few beds that we stripped the sheets right away and put all new bedding on because you could tell they were never changed from the last stay.

there was no garbage pickup the whole time we were there and when we arrived the garbages were already full so every morning we had to pick up the trash that the animals strung all over.

This house is as gorgeous in person as it is in the pictures. It was perfect for our group of 7, each couple and the one single had their own bedroom/bathroom. The house was well stocked for cooking and grilling. Our only complaints are that it could have been a bit cleaner and the road was not very motorcycle friendly (we made it work). Overall, we were all very happy with the property and had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house layout is perfect for traveling with a group because we all had our own separate private places. It's decorated very cute. We loved all the cozy blankets it had too. The house could use a more thorough cleaning to catch up. The grill was filthy - we had to use tin foil to even cook on it. The day to day cleaning tasks seem to have gotten done but not the necessary deep cleaning the house needed (esp things like dusting). The couch in the main living room is connected by plastic sectional clips that constantly disconnect so the couch never stays together when people sit on it. We were visiting to participate in the marathon and appreciated the close distance to the race. We loved the big table so we could sit together for meals and enjoyed many card games. We would stay there again!

Over all we loved the place! Just a few things that could be addressed.... There were a few screws loose on the stairs that hurt when stepped on, the Downstairs was very cold and upstairs very warm, the batteries were dead in the remote to the fire place which we replaced, the fire extinguisher was not visible and accessible, no CO detector and the front door was difficult to lock! Just some suggestions for improvement!

The house was not immaculate when we arrived. I am alright with a little detail getting missed here and there but missing the mess in the master bedroom bed sheets is disgusting. Nice that there was laundry detergent and a newer washer and dryer so we could clean them and use the bed for the remainder of our stay. (dryer vent is obviously restricted too) Luckily (for me) it was not my kids jumping in that mess. I would have likely lost my patience in a not friendly way. Horrible sewer smell outside every now and then and the outside trash cans were full when we got there making clean up challenging. Hot tub was low on water (jets out of the water), had sand in the bottom when we got there and by the time we left it was green enough that the kids were scared of it.
All in all, we will be checking dates soon to stay there again next year. :)
