Excellent location and supurb facilities. Amazing welcome package that was truely way beyond what I’d expect and just so generous and thoughtful.

The only thing that might make a difference. Changing the bedside tables for small 3 drawer chests. (Not much difference sizewise). As there wasn't really anywhere to put things.

Highly recommended place to stay

Juliet Cottage is a fantastic place to stay in Alnwick. It’s central so close to the town’s restaurants and facilities, a 10 minute walk to Alnwick castle and gardens and a stone’s throw from what we thought was the best pub in Alnwick - The Tanners Arms. The cottage is very tastefully decorated with plenty of references to the local area. There were many practical highlights that made our stay so good. For example; written instructions dotted around the house, google nests in each of the rooms, OS maps of the area, binoculars, and an information folder about the area, not to mention two sets of door keys, plenty of linen and core kitchen supplies like tea, coffee and cleaning products. There were also some really nice touches. For example; fresh flowers in each room, a bottle of fizzy wine and a hamper of local products, a fresh cake and locally made fudge, fresh milk in the fridge and ice cubes in the freezer, and a host of information sent electronically before our arrival so we could plan well in advance to make the most of our stay.

Absolutely nothing. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay for a real home-from-home experience with added treats!

Superb

The cottage was so lovely. We really liked the attention to detail; the fresh flowers, the treat hamper and little things like that were so lovely. The decor was great, it was so clean and the bed was super comfy. The outside seating area was super cute too!

Please could you put in a spatula in the kitchen utensils, just so cooking things like eggs are a little easier

Juliet Cottage, an exceptional place to stay

Juliet Cottage is beautifully presented, very comfortable and provides everything you could need and more besides. Louise, the owner, provided a very comprehensive email prior to our trip which gave us lots of information about attractions in the area. The cottage is situated just outside the Alnwick tower which means you can walk into the town within a couple of minutes. The welcome pack provided by Louise was certainly something special and we really enjoyed the goodies as well as the normal essentials that she provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again when we next visit Northumberland.

Absolutely nothing. The cottage far exceeded our expectations.

Great location - 10 mins walk from castle & gardens

Parking a slight issue. There was a free car park nearby with parking for 24 hours, with return permitted after 4 hours only. Had to move car on 2nd day to comply. Don't know how keen the traffic wardens are! Wouldn't be a problem for anyone going out each day.

Superb

Great cottage, had everything we needed including the lovely quaint courtyard garden. Lovely welcome hamper and card. Perfect location for the castle, gardens and attractions. The host was excellent at getting back to me with any questions I had. In all we had a fab stay and would definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family.

No parking outside the cottage but we did know this before booking so wasn’t a big problem as the car park is close by. There is a lay-by near the cottage where you can unload your luggage.

A perfect cottage in every respect.

We loved this cottage in every way. There was so much attention to detail even in the little courtyard garden at the back which we would have enjoyed had the weather been better. Such lovely touches greeted us on arrival - homemade cakes, drinks and chocolate. Louise was attentive, sending us lots of information beforehand. The location was perfect for all that Alnwick had to offer. Due to the location of the property there was no parking but there was ample choice close by and we were able to unload and load the car without difficulty right outside.

Gorgeous cottage in beautiful Alnwick.

Cottage was beautiful, cosy and comfortable, very welcoming. Lovely hamper of treats, very nice and unexpected. Lovely touch. Everything was like home from home, could not have wished for more. Excellent location to everything in Alnwick, just a small walk to all places of interest in Alnwick. Will definitely be back.

Exceptional

The cottage was warm and cosy and felt like home as soon as we entered. Everything you could need was catered for. Owner went over and above providing a welcome pack full of local produce to try. Delicious almond and amaretto cake! An abundance of local information was available which came in handy. The cottage was really clean and the bed was the comfiest we've ever slept in - we've taken note of the matress manufacturer. We just loved everything about it! Thank you so much to the team.

Only that we couldn't stay longer.

I stayed at Juliet cottage with my husband and 18 month old son at the end of September 2021 and we had the best time.The cottage is so cosy and came equipped with everything we could have asked for with a little one in tow-travel cot, baby bath,safety stairgate etc. Louise the host was so helpful in the lead up to our trip helping with recommendations of places to see and things to do and we were bowled over by the hospitality of the welcome gifts when we arrived. The cottage is perfectly located in centre of alnwick,so you can visit the castle,gardens,shops and restaurants within a minutes walk and there's a free car park just round the corner too! We managed to catch good weather so our trips to Alnmouth, Bamburgh and Embleton sand beaches(all around 10min drive away)were unbelievably gorgeous!

Amazing stay in Alnwick!

Loved the whole experience! The kitchen and living room space were great. The bed was comfortable. Lovely basket of treats left - and we got a text to tell us we could move in much earlier than the time given of 3pm.

The bathroom could do with a bit of a refresh.
