About this house rental

Situated in Perry Township, this charming house for $169 per night is a great choice for your next break. Hummingbird Holler is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home in a stunning 5 acre setting (no hot tub). The best part is we are close to everything. Old Man's Cave, Rockhouse, Conkle's Hollow, Cantwell Cliffs, Tar Hollow State Park, and even Grandma Faye's are all very close! Forget something? The grocery store is just up the road in Laurelville or Kroger is in Logan. Hill Willie's Hideaways, LLC has tried to make this feel like home by providing internet (poor quality, but the only option), DirecTV in the master and living room on 50" and 65" TVs, and a land line. There is an Onkyo stereo that you can bluetooth and enjoy your own music (Just please keep it down after 10 for the neighbors). Karaoke Machine for more fun! We have a huge kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, microwave, 2 coffee makers (Keurig w/pods and one that grinds your beans), complete dinner set and more! Feel like grilling out? We have provided a gas grill! There is even a picnic shelter to sit and enjoy your fresh grilled goods down by the creek! Afterwards, relax by the fire and have some s'mores! We have a 7x10 concrete block patio by the fire pit! The spacious master bedroom boasts a King size bed and two dressers. The second bedroom offers a queen, and the third has a set of bunk beds with a trundle bed. You can bring the whole family! The large dining room table seats 6 easily and we have extra chairs. We even have a washer and dryer for you to use. Sitting on either of the two porches or inside with the windows open, you can hear the sounds of the small creek that lines the property. We added a 600lb capacity tree swing right by the creek in the big maple tree. You are free to roam the woods as the property lines are clearly marked by both driveways and flags in the woods. There is a short trail that goes up the back hill between the garage and the house and comes out by the shooting range. As time goes on, we will be expanding these hiking trails. At the far end of the property you will find a shooting range if you want to exercise your second amendment rights. During the shut down, we built and installed a new shooting table for either right or left hand shooters at the 25 yard area. There are no plinking type targets to avoid ricochet and injuries. We also added a 6 ft x 6ft dry wood storage rack. We will be harvesting wood from the property for you and try to keep it stocked. In the spring and summer of 2020, we transplanted 1045 new perennial flowers and hostas around the property. We will continue to work on the property and listen to our guests. We added non-stick cookie sheets and oven pans after one suggestion. We added the tree swing after another. Hummingbird Holler got it's name from the several seasonal hummingbirds that visit each year. We put out at least 7 feeders a year to make sure you will get to experience such a fun and interesting bird. If you see that a feeder is empty, we put more juice in the upper left cabinet. Have kids? We have a high chair booster seat combo and an additional booster seat. Also just added just before 2020 could end, we put in a new Bryant furnace. We installed central air conditioning April 2021. You can spot Hummingbird Holler from a good distance as we have 2 of our signature pink concrete deer marking the driveway. In our first year of business in 2020, we decided to address the crawlspace issue and had The Basement Authority come out to make sure you are safe. Check out the picture of what is below! It is amazing! Escape from the city and get out and take in our fresh air! We have an isolated location for you and your family on 5 acres but it feels like so much more! In February 2023 we added a whole house backup generator!!! It has been used a lot this year so far! Don't rent a place unless it has backup power otherwise you might not have water either! And November brought a renovated bathroom. Hopefully 2024 brings a new master bathroom! Come on down, according to a recent review... "Best kept secret in the (Hocking) Hills.... Such a blast to poke around the vast property" October 22nd, 2023....and that's before we renovated the bathroom!!!!

Gorgeous. Quiet. Peaceful. Great winter weekend getaway. Already planning to go back in the warmer weather to actually get to utilize the firepit and that swing! It was really cold and wet when we were there, so much of our time was spent inside with the fireplace, and viewing the outdoors. We did find a slice of time to utilize the shooting range, which is just perfect for target practice. The Karaoke mic was broke so no review. It feels like the middle of nowhere, however, you can be in Logan in about 20 minutes. I don't know about the others(just 2 of us) but that king size bed is DEVINE. Only bummer with bigger group would be one bathroom, but it's a small inconvenience. Lots of towels and the water is hot. Bring bean coffee to use the grinding coffee maker or prepare to be very patient with the one serve Keurig. The gas stove is amazing, fridge is very cold. Stocked with pans and dishes. Kitchen was A++ Entry and driveway is great. Plenty of room and wide for bigger rigs. Would definitely recommend 4wd in heavy winter, there is quite a little hill leaving that could be slick. Camera on driveway and pretty sure there is a ring camera at entry as well; great for security. Easy key entry with no interaction with owner. Very private. You will not be using your phone! ZERO cell service. (we had Verizon/Tmobile) There is also NO wifi or internet. None. I know, it's tragic. But also not why we're there. There is Direct TV with great service. And a land line.

What a great spot! Everything is within 10 mins like all the major hikes. The house was tidy and cozy. As soon as we walked in we felt at home. The fireplace heats it up soooo nicely. We felt we had everything we needed. Can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend going during Thanksgiving the place was dead! We had most of the trails to ourselves!

This cabin was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, fully equipped kitchen. Little touches- comfy sofas, good lighting (we like to read), plenty of games. The karaoke machine was a hit with the kids! Outside a really nice firepit and picnic shelter with tables and party lights. Property was conveniently located to all the popular Hocking Hills sites. Would definitely recommend!!!

We just got back from our first visit to Hocking Hills! This property was perfect! During the time of booking, I read reviews from others and noticed that many people booked return trips to stay at this property and I can see why. The location is pretty close to a lot of key Hocking Hills sites. It's also a clean and comfortable house, on a quiet street, with plenty of space to walk around. I can only imagine how beautiful the property is in the spring and summer. We hit all of the key Hocking Hills sites during our stay: Old Man's Cave. Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Whispering Cave, Conkles Hollow, and Rock House. This area is incredible and this place is a perfect home to come back to after a day filled of exploring.
