About this house rental

Situated in Lake Glenville, this lovely house for $686 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Nestled in the Fenley Forest on Lake Glenville, this 2,400 sf modern waterfront cabin was remodeled top to bottom in 2019. Literally everything is brand new! Including the roof, wood flooring, skylights, windows, sliding doors, bathrooms, kitchen, appliances, mattresses, 4 computer ready big screen tvs, dual zone central air and heat, and furniture! It was designed to appeal to those with an eye for modern minimalism. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, each with a queen size bed. Super comfy Tuft & Needle memory foam mattresses throughout! Rated 4.6/5 stars for comfort by 27,125 people. Each bedroom has a skylight to capture the tree tops of Fenley Forest by day and an array of stars by night. The en suite master bedroom has a floating bed in the center of the room to maximize the breathtaking lake views. The other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with a reclaimed barn wood vanity, matte black fixtures and graphic cement tiles. The great room has a commanding view of the lake and an impressive stone wood burning fireplace. It has an open floor plan living room, dining room and kitchen. The living area has 2 extra large black leather tufted sofas from CB2. In the open kitchen, there is a custom 5ft x 10ft island made by a local craftsman with seating for 12 people. The waterfall counter tops are made of recycled tin roofing material and each nail head was hammered by hand. The facade is a unique reclaimed wood design. The cook top is at the end of the island so cooking while entertaining becomes effortless! The kitchen has brand new stainless appliances and open shelving with well appointed glassware, dishware and flatware. There is brand new recessed lighting as well as new skylights throughout the house so it is always bright and cheery. The glass front door allows the sunshine to pour in and reveals a giant granite mountain face. The keyless Schlage smart lock allows for easy check in, entry and exit by all house guests using an assigned code. There are 2 levels of patio space for outdoor seating and dining. The downstairs level has equally breathtaking views with sliding doors to provide the best possible lake views. There is a ping pong table, a game table, 2 computer ready tvs, a retro wood burning oven flanked by 2 black leather mid century modern sofas, a kitchenette with mini fridge, sink, and microwave, a bathroom with an original clawfoot tub and giant picture window, and a brand new Samsung High Efficiency washer and dryer. There is also an April Air dehumidification system for maximum comfort. There are 3 queen size platform beds with brand new Tuft & Needle mattresses in the downstairs sleeping quarters. The lower level patio has built in benches for relaxing. The dock is 20'x20' with a retractable aluminum ladder for easy access in and out of the lake. The dock can accommodate power boats, water craft and lake water toys. The house is situated on the mid point of Lake Glenville which offers one of the longest most sweeping views of the lake. It is also one of the most sunny areas at all times of the day because of it's location. The house is secluded yet only a 15 minute drive to Cashiers town center and a 25 minute drive to Main Street in Highlands. It makes for the ideal spot for a family vacation. The house has Sonos, full high speed internet (the fastest on the lake), Nest thermostats, BBQ grill. Why is Lake Glenville such a sought after vacation destination? In the summertime, as the mercury is rising everywhere else in the country, the average daytime temps are the 70s to low 80s and drop down to the 50s and 60s at night. So Refreshing! Even nearby Lake Keowa gets ridiculously hot during the day because of it's much lower elevation. There are small waterfalls on the lake that are fun to boat to as well as lots of great fishing spots. Tubing, waterskiing and wakeboarding are all very popular lake activities. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing as are the sounds of geese at dusk and dawn and sights of bald eagles and deer that nest and live nearby. There are amazing hiking opportunities nearby as well as golf courses, restaurants, shopping, white water rafting, a sliding rock, gem mining, horseback riding, antiquing and more!

Excellent house on Lake Glenville. We stayed at this lake house 3 nights over Labor Day. 2 adults 7 kids 11-14. More than enough room for us. The House is clean and updated. Anything you can imagine you would need is there as far as plates, utensils, wood, fire starters, tv, internet, etc. Easy access to the lake with deep dock. Fire pit by the water. Separate basement with space for kids and ping pong table. Large open living space and kitchen when all can hang out. We had a great time. Owners extremely responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

sadly, had we not had our family there, this would not have been a good vacation. The Lake is great but the trip down is long and there are stairs rotted and dangerous. All bedrooms and bathrooms are tiny with no storage and although there have been bathroom updates, the "master" is a closet, at best. The toilets rock and also the bathtub is dangerous. There is absolutely no storage in the kitchen for groceries and pots and pans are stored on ground level way under the island, requiring you to go on your hands and knees to access. There are concerns on the deck railing and the stairs down to the lower bedroom are narrow and steep. And the list goes on. All things considered, this house is way overpriced especially considering other homes available.

Great Vacation Great Property
Great Vacation Great Property
Kids had an awesome time. Property was very clean and a nice location on the lake close to downtown. Getting to the property was at times a little tricky when the road got to be 1 lane. Especially when you had big trucks coming the opposite way. there was only 5 of us but the house easily sleeps 12. Note to families with young toddlers, we didnt let our toddler out on the 2nd floor patio since the rail openings were a little to large and the ground was pretty far down. Overall, we had a great time and would definately stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Barn! The house perfectly accommodated our family get together and the downstairs area was great for the older kids as it contained three large beds, two couches, a large screen tv, ping-pong table and cornhole set. The kids enjoyed kayaking (3 came with the house) and fishing in the lake and we all enjoyed watching the sunset every evening around the fire pit at the lake’s edge. The lake is a bit of a hike down the hill (as are most houses on the lake) from the house and the road leading up to the house is tricky with the twists and turns however once you arrive it’s well worth the hike. We had a blast playing golf, horseback riding, cruising around the lake on our boat, hiking the nearby trails and going into Cashiers and Highlands to eat and shop. We look forward to our next trip to the area and would definitely recommend staying at the Barn!
