Situated within Split Rock's 18 Hole Golf Resort & only a few minute drive to Big Boulder & Jack Frost Ski Resorts, Tricky Tee enjoys the best that both areas have to offer year round. Grill out on the sunny deck, or listen to the sounds of nature in the outdoor hot tub. Cook a family meal in the Huge kitchen – the dining table seats 10. A lovely stone fireplace, Cathedral ceiling, and a wall of windows grace the great room. 3 of the homes 5 bedrooms are master suites. Beautiful house. Hot tub and pool table were a big hit, the enclosed porch with fire place was the ultimate hangout spot. Had 16 people over a 4 day weekend and didn’t feel cramped, kitchen easily held all our food and we had more than enough dish ware/glasses/utensils, but no extras beyond that (we were a little surprised there weren’t even salt/pepper shakers but that’s an easy fix with a store 5 minutes down the road). Only real downside was a few clogged shower drains that had you wading through inches of water even during a quick shower. Otherwise we were very pleased!

Snow wasn’t cleared, driveway was very slippery, even the walkway and stairs wasn’t salted and very slippery, we were about to fall down.
We were there for two days group of 16people, how would you expect 16 ppl to use one trash bag for two days? And the community roads were in terrible condition, driving was a nightmare.

Very pleasant property. The house was clean, comfortable, and roomy. Kids enjoyed the pool table which was in the upstairs loft area rather than in a basement. (The house doesn’t have a basement.) kitchen and dining area was a great set up for preparing meals. Would recommend.

The house itself is very nice and spacious. The issues we had were:
1. We were charged a $300 fee for linens but were not even given proper sheets. We received all flat sheets and some were too small to fit on the beds.
2. We were told ahead of time almost nothing was provided but received even less than listed (2 dishwasher pods instead of 3), no trash bags in the bathrooms, one paper thin flimsy bag in the kitchen.
3. The cute outside porch in the photos with the fireplace was filthy. The table was visibly dirty and there was trash and a cigarette butt on the floor. We didn't even want to sit on the cushions on the chairs.
4. I tried to reach out about the sheets to get correct sizes and their answering service was not working. I tried email and was told they would contact the cleaning company but received no resolution.
For the price of this house providing a few extra rolls of toilet paper and garbage bags and proper sheets that fit the beds would be appropriate.

What a beautiful house! So much space. Beds were comfortable. Inside was very clean. The outside of the house needs a really good power washing…but we understand it’s the end of summer. We probably got the house after several months of rentals. Also, not a huge deal. The patio and inside was perfect.

The house was great - just as described. Plenty of room for 3 families with a nice kitchen and great room. The roads getting into Split Rock need paving, but overall it was a great place to stay.

The house was large enough to accommodate all of my children and grandchildren and me (14).The hot tub, pool table, and fire pit were highlights for the kids. They enjoyed visits from deer too. It’s a beautiful space.

We booked for a 4 family getaway to snow tube. There was 16 people total. Tricky tree had plenty of beds and space for everyone. The house was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We wished it was a little warmer so we could have enjoyed the covered porch.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. We were 4 families - 17 people (8 adults, 1 teen, 8 kids ages 3-8) - and there was plenty of room / beds / bathrooms. We did a lot of cooking & the kitchen was fully equipped with pots / pans / Pyrex dishes / flatware / serving spoons / pizza cutters / everything! Also a great cupboard to store your groceries ! If you're going to cook - just bring your spices. The freezer has an ice maker which was also a huge plus ! Plenty of space at the huge dining table for everyone to eat & large (very wide) kitchen island counter that was GREAT to sit at / eat at (has many stools). Especially fun set up for cooking together & hanging out with everyone. The main living room has big , comfortable furniture to just hang & spend time together. The house had a smart TV in every room & Hulu live provided by the house. You can log into any of your own accounts for Netflix/ etc. very easy to use. We went on a big football championship weekend & were able to watch all games & kids watched their movies as well. There is an indoor gas fire place that works with a thermostat. There is also an outdoor wood burning fire place on the screen porch off the kitchen. There are couches out there - Very pretty set up. On deck there is a hot tub which we loved to use in the 2 degree afternoon & in the snow ! Also on deck a grill with full tank, which we used. On the ground there is a lovely fire pit set up with benches around it, which we did not use. The grounds are flat and great for outdoor playing / snow man building / etc. upstairs there is a loft area with a pool table & an upstairs den with additional beds / couches / tv. Kids loved that for their movie room. Also more bedrooms. The communication was wonderful. There is an office that deals with your communication & they are available 24 hours a day for any issues. We went during a snow fall. House had shovels / salt. The roads were plowed in morning. One review said the blankets on beds were thin - they are thin, like quilts. The heat works well & we were very comfortable at night. Maybe bring another blanket if you want to lay on couch with it - but house is very very comfortable. All in all , one of the best homes we've rented. Plenty of room for 17 people (there are 4 full baths & one half !) and the area is just great !!! We also had access to activities on split rock (water park, snow tubing) but it was so cold we just hung out on property. Would highly recommend!!!

We were a bit skeptical about this place when we saw the thread bare linens with rips in some of the sheets especially when we learned the sheets were all flat!! But they were clean and we were able to sleep comfortably.
The place was spacious and we were able to have 14 people of various ages without anyone feeling that we were on top of each other. We were able to make it look festive for Christmas although it wasn’t home and we didn’t want to take a lot of decorations…the fireplace set the tone.
The only complaint (and they couldn’t control it), we wanted snow for skiing and snow tubing…no luck!!!!

Can’t say enough, place was legit. The hot tub was clutch at night time, firepit in the backyard, right down the road from several real good bars and restaurants. Came here for a golf weekend and had about 5 great courses within 25 minutes of the location to choose from, not to mention being located on Split Rock golf course which was excellent. Highly Recommend!!

Can’t say enough, place was legit. The hot tub was clutch at night time, firepit in the backyard, right down the road from several real good bars and restaurants. Came here for a golf weekend and had about 5 great courses within 25 minutes of the location to choose from, not to mention being located on Split Rock golf course which was excellent. When we went to open the “time locked door” at 4:15 check in time, it did not work. Called the contact info and they were not aware of the issue but said she would call me back. When she called back she said she had bad news. The unit was not cleaned and she offered us to go somewhere for food. We had 3 children (6 years of age and under) who where hungry and had to use the bathroom. It was a nice offer, but the reason we rented the house was not to be around other people with COVID going around, so I said no thank you. At that time the cleaners just came to clean the house (4:30) so we waited outside in the car till they finished cleaning (6:00). When they finished, the electronic lock still would not let us in, but she did contact someone who temporarily open the door so we could get into the unit. Now, once in they kids could use the facilities and we could get them some food, The remaining of the stay was very good and when I reached out to them before leaving (they did not contact me, which was disappointing for them not to see if we got in and how we were doing) they did apologize and did give us a some money back for the inconvenience which was appreciated.The person was sorry and as she said it was “the perfect storm”-- our third snow fall-very busy and the cleaning people were short staffed and running behind but she did not know that- she said someone was to check on how we were doing after getting in (she was off), but they did not.So all in all, the facility was good and filled our need, but the communication was poor and frustrating in the beginning when were we attempting to get into the unit. I would give them another chance if they have a unit we wish to rent in the future as the contact person did sound sincere in her apology.
