I liked everything about Top Residence. The rooms, onsite facilities, and the location.
Really nothing to complain about. Everything was good.

We stayed only 1 night between Koh Samui and Khao Sok.
Location was good and we were able to walk to night markets for dinner.
Hotel was clean and made to order eggs for breakfast was great.
The mattress was very very firm. Pool was a bit smaller than you think.

Hotel was modern
Location was away from centre but not expensive with bolt to get to.i stayed alone for 2 nights. The room had 2 single beds and obviously I only used one.
On checkout day when leaving the room the maid was waiting at my door desperate to get in. Just after i reached reception to check out she came running through with sheets with a stain on it. The stain was not any stain id made. I let them know that the sheets were not changed during my 2 days at all and the stain could have been there from the beginning. They charged me 300 baht from my deposit regardless and gave me no receipt and would not allow me to take a photo.
Otherwise no issues but obviously maid literally stand outside your room to get in and find anything to hold against you.
